On the ship design screen, this is a repeatable CTD bug: 1) Create a new ship design 2) Choose the first Tiny model (note: I am using Human ship set, but that probably doesn't matter) 3) Choose any of the structure pieces, but do not click on the "red dot" mount points on the ship model, instead, click on an empty component slot on the right-hand window result: Crash To Desktop - Proud Canadian

Hey BoogieBac, I looked at some other posts on here and found a link to www.omegadrivers.net, which had some enhanced drivers for Radeon cards. Installing those has got me past the CTD and Bluescreen/reboot. However... Going forward, I'm sure you guys don't want to tell customers they have to install non-standard video drivers in order to play your game. Hopefully you can get your hands on a Mobility Radeon with the standard drivers and try to reprod
I just got the GalCiv2 beta. Here's what happens on my laptop: 1) Start the GalCiv2 application 2) Choose New Game option 3) Choose some galaxy options 4) Choose any race 5) Start the game The "Loading..." thing appears for awhile, then I get a dark grey screen, followed by "an unexpected error has occurred in your application" popup. When I click the OK button, it goes to a bluescreen for a second, then the computer reboots. On the bluescreen
Proud Canadian here. Still playing Altarian Prophecy while I'm on the road, but looking forward to GalCiv 2. I think beta testing GalCiv 2 will be more fun than the QA testing I have to do at work! PC
lCiv 2 is exactly because it is a game that runs on low-end hardware and is still fun.
I don't really care either way about wormholes. My opinion: If they would complicate the AI in any significant way, don't bother.
