Get over yourself and Anti Bush agenda. I'm tired of hearing about how Bush screwed up events that are the STATES and LOCAL goverments problems! The people on the southern coast knew darn well the leeves would fail with a Cat 4 storm and THEY did nothing about it!!! THEY could have fixed it their selves, they could have paid a little more in taxes to fix it. So what, now Bush NEEDS to ban Trailer homes in "tornado ally"? Require all home

And when Iowa was flooding, no one called them anything. What about when Texas was flooding? Florida? I don't remember anyone from those areas being called "displaced", "refugees", or whatever. Victims of circumstance. Oh well, this bugs me and I'm not sure why.

I have had my opinions changed on a few subjects. I am here because I learn things all the time from the posts people make. I learn others opinions and why they have them, different ways to look at things, what ideas may or may not work, and even brush up on my debate skills. I enjoy JU and everyone on it! They have helped me grow as a person.

I reminded him that when I chose my son's name I had to be mindful that the name I was helping my wife to choose had to be one that I could yell very well in a fit of anger. I would do no good to name the boy something that I could never state in that firm, "yelling" voice that would let him know angry he was making his parents.<

Betty J, If you would read through the comments, you will see that I don't feel that the product works and that it is a bunch of overhyped water pills. I strongly suggest not to buy the product. As for why I call myself MsLadyDeath, it's a long story, but basically it was a nickname that stuck with me and I have found myself comfortable with.

$2.75 yesterday up from $2.34 last week. Oh well. I walk my kids to school (all 2 blocks) and avoid driving whenever possible, and I'm fixing my bike. To bad the nearest grocery store is 12 miles away.

Happy Period my foot. My poor dad had 2 daughters, and 9 yrs later finally got a son. We even had a female dog and cat. My poor dad was out numbered and dictated by the monthly demons.

My name was never on personalized stuff when I was growing up, and I have a simple name. Come to think of it, my sister rarely found anything with her name on it. I'm Mandy (NOT Amanda or Samantha). My sister is Sara (without the H). No I am not named after the Barry Manalow song. My kids will never find anything with their names on it, and nether will my neice. Athena, Demetri, Thor and Staria. We didn't pick mainstream names just bec

I was an alcoholic teen, my mother is alcohol dependent (not a drunk and does not acknowledge there is a problem). I only recognize that I had a problem as a teen in retrospect. I didn't think there was a problem then. I don't drink often anymore, haven't since I was 19. I guess I lost my taste for it or something, but I no longer drink at home or alone. I drink maybe once a month or less, and no more than 2 when I do go out with my friends. I fi

In teaching children about healthy eating, we don't bring up things like liposuction. Or Jenny Craig for that matter. Hey, can we teach Channel Surfing in PE?

I don't have much to say on this since I wasn't in the military long, wasn't married while I was, no kids at the time, etc. I think the term is Peer Pressure, when you see the people around you cheating and bragging about it, and you see it long enough, either you'll feel dumb and transfer, or follow the herd, basic peer pressure. We have all encountered it, be it the way we dress, if we have premarital sex, the peer pressure to get married and have

it's not what you know, it's who ya blow. *L* No truer words have been said. Women have a harder time since the drums and guitar are far from traditional instruments for women to play. Bands with male front singers fear how they would look with a female in such a role in their band, traditi

mslady death I hoped you might come up with a better argument than "because I don't think it should". One of the biggest problems we are facing is that adoption is shrouded in secrecy and treated as taboo, a dirty secret, thus leading to mass feeelings of guilt for anyone who chooses to give their children to a "better" family. Why should people be madfe to feel that they

Since the topic of LOTR is still ongoing, has anyone seen the extended format of those movies? When Gimli asks Gladriel for a strand of her hair? Hmmm Now that would be an odd couple.....
