Leo...gone...good. Maybe now the guests can finish thier answers. I worked in broadcasting for 10+ years, not much in the grand scheme of things, but enough to know that the only person on the air that aggrevates me more than Leo is Wolf Blitzer. Both of them could talk for hours and say nothing! And when one of the guests gets to the point, they cut them off to ask another stuiped question that won't get answered. Maybe now I'll watch Tech TV again.

I do have one question...a notification is sent out if your submission has been rejected, but if not by email then how? I only ask because I made my first submission late last week and haven't heard anything. (Frankly, I wasn't sure if I even submitted it right) I realize all this stuff to go through takes a while. I would also be suprised if my picture got through, but I really want to make some type of contribution other than monetary. Thanks!!!
Sounds like Keila and DreamDesign3D need to get together a team!
I hope things pick up a bit! But the stuff that is there is awesome!
Last night at around 3am I received an email. Of course, Tiggz DX email notifier did exactly as it was programmed to do...and suddenly my room was filled with thunder and it seemed to be a downpour indoors. My wife leaped up, scared silly, wondering why this thunderstorm had suddenly rolled into our room. The subwoofer from the Klipsch 4.1's was roaring...but I learned a new lesson...turn the
It's back now...
Is it down or am I just having local problems?
Let the Games begin!!!
I'm would hate to suggest that a feature be taken away from myself due to a suggestion I make but...As I've been looking at the comments being made by what appears to be "Newbie Citizens" they seem to be rather harsh and non-constructive. My understanding of adding a comment is to help the artist make a better skin next time. Yet, the people that make these harsh comments have no understanding of the amount of work that goes into making a skin. Plus, there are a great deal of people cre
Phoon...it was pretty amazing, I discovered there are these things called trees. They kinda, just, come up out of the ground.
I decided that I was spending too much time on my PC, so I vowed to take a break for 21 days. I admit I was checking in from time to time, but not really participating. With 2 kids and a beautiful wife, I feel I need to curb some time on the PC for time with more important things. The trick is to not get "over involved" again.
RealVNC works great! We use it at work all the time!
It's been 21 days since I've been able to post and say Hi! I've only been able to check in 3 or 4 times in the last 21 days. So wassup? I'm so excited about the GUI Olympics. Anyway...I feel like I'm taking a fresh breath of air after being under water for so long! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles
Front Royal, VA...AKA Washington DC...My sister told me, before I moved here, that Washington DC was like a big tar pit...IT SUCKS. Sometimes I think I agree with her.
One thing to keep in mind is that Bootskin is not really a finished product. If I recall correctly, development is supposed to someday allow you to different types of progress bars and allow something more than 16 colors and other things. If this is correct, then you could see an opportunity for some more "Artistic" designs. But the program as it stands now is a bit basic...and so are the skins. Has anyone heard how the development is going? Is there going to be something more sustantia
Got it about 2 weeks ago. I tried to do a full system bup only to find that it won't span between DVD's properly. To say I'm disappointed would be an understatement. I've tried several times and had nothing but failures. I'm looking for another solution. Anyone have any good ideas? I was thinking of looking at some type of "Ghosting" product, but that typically won't let you do a selective restore...my understanding is that you have to re-image your entire drive from your backup.?
I hate to say it...but Styl is right...it has gotten a little out of hand. I typically don't even look at that part of the site because it does take a lot of looking before you find something reasonable. Heck...the boot skin from XP is better than some of them on the website. JMHO!
Save for it...are you serious? You must be kidding! Here in America we never save for anything. Just break out the Visa and go for it! After all...that's what America is all about...Getting the best toys we don't need, with money we don't have, to impress people we don't know! That's how us MEN do it! <img src="ht
I just got my XPS 3Gig with 2Gig of Ram and the 19inch LCD. It is awesome!!! Performance is exceptional, display is amazing, and the Radeon 9800 works awesome. I'm copying my DVD's from the rental store, Making my own DVD's from the family outings, I use it as a Tivo machine and burn the episodes I reco
Be real nice to her...tell her you have something you need to "discuss." Act like it's a really huge thing. Like someone died or something. Then tell her you needs. If she gets mad and says no, then get twice as mad as she did and tell her she just doesn't understand. Tell her you have given her your life and all you want is to spend a little money on yourself. Say, "Fine...Forget it...I'm not buying it" Then when she comes to apologize...she'll ask you to buy it. Keep pretending like y
Wow...I never knew there was this much passion, for an OS of all things. This type of passion for a product could be what is needed to push it over the edge. But, I must agree with Frogboy...XP works well for what I do everyday. If we were talking about Win95 It would be a different story. But be careful...when your passion for something turns into aggression...then you have lost me and my Windows f
I don't really have a major beef with M$. I work as a PC tech. and w\o M$, I have no career. The only thing that really ticks me off is when M$ forces me to use their file format or their program or whatever. Case and point...This weekend my daughter had some friends over and they made a little videotaped "commercial" I decided to copy it to DVD so her friends could watch it at home. I open up M$ movie product that came with my OS. But it will only allow me to do everything in a .wma fi
"Windows is for people who want to be controlled by their pc. Linux is for people who want to control their pc." What the heck does that mean?
I'm not really debating whether OSX works or looks better than XP. And I do understand the problems involved with accomodating so many types of hardware. I just think it would be good for competition and OS's in general, to have someone try to make a stand against M$. I guess when you get right down to it, it may make sense for competition but it probably doesn't make good business sense. None the less...I'd love to Apple try! And who better than a lunatic like Steve Jobs? <img src="htt
I keep reading all this stuff about how Linux will probably never be a desktop replacement for Windoze. It would seem to me that the only company that could put up a good fight against M$ is Apple. With all the success they have had with IPod's and ITunes being compatible with Windows...It only seems natural for them to do a non-mac OS?
