I have one disk containing OS restoration one containinghardware drivers, partial backup of apps, and NT 4.0 Driver Locator utility and one disk containing back up of apps.
goblet
What i mean by this is that those are the only things i see to install...
Damn, i just tried the disks, but i dont see Word or any other of those applications, i just see norton antivirus, gateway.net, helpspot, etc. Under hardware i just see the mouse, keyboard etc. Am i missing someting???
yea it came with it, thanks man.
I recently had my computer completely rebooted (all applications and everything were deleted), and i just realized that Microsoft Word is gone (of course). I have Windows ME and i was wondering how to reinstall it, do i use the back up applications restoration disk???
Thanks for the link tjesterb. Thanks yrgal too, and every1 else.
I just ran spybot and i fixed 14 problems, which will work for now...
Yea, i actually have spybot, it doesnt seem to catch as much as adaware tho, but i will run it again. Thanks for the replies.
When i press any key to continue, it returns to my desktop and the computer runs normally. I havent really noticed any major signs of spyware, my comp isnt running slowly, and my homepage isnt changing. However, i have ended adware scans early to keep the comp from messing up, and i have found HIGH risk items and other low risk files...
Im running windows ME. The message states: "An exception of 0D has occured at 0028:1000AYDA in VxD VWM (01) + 000094DA. It was called from 0028:C023F58B in VxD VMM (0C + 0000058B. It may be possible to continue normally. * Press any key to attempt to continue normally. * Press CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart your computer."
I've had adaware SE Personal for awhile, and ive had no problems with it, until now... The problem is that whenever i run a scan, my computer will just stop working and go into this blue screen that says"Press any key to continue or ctrl+alt+del to restart your computer." Can anyone help me??
Ok, my comp has been free of this for a couple weeks now (adaware finally caught it) and i was wondering if Object Bar possible was the cause of the Second Thought? Does any one have any info on this? Thanks
I have also tried some methods to manually remove it, but some of the files ppl are talking about dont seem to exist on my computer.
I can download the programs, but many u have to pay for, and my adaware is not catching it.
Can someone plzz walk me through the removal process manually in greater detail, because i cant get any free adware removal tool to remove it, and im completely lost in the manual removal... Id reallllly appreciate it!
So i guess this is a common problem, and thanks for all ur help! Everyone here is very helpful.
I figured it was spyware, and i have adaware, which is great, and i have already ran a few tests today, and quarantined an deleted the items, but it still happens. But Thanks AGAIN for the helpful info guys.
Thanks for the info. However, i am experiencing a problem with my computer (surprise, surprise > ). The problem is that when i try to open windows media player, a window always opens call Second Thought Instalation, it says its a browser enhancer, i just close it each time. What is this, and how can i fix it???
I got the free trial version of objectbar and i really like it a lot. I have a question tho... Does this free version ever expire???
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, imma have to try some of those. And, ME does suck, and i have had problems wit it. In fact, i just had it reapaired for probly the 5th+ time. It has never worked rite, and i should be getting a dell soon with XP soon.
I still have Win ME and i was wondering if there are any free programs that can give my desktop a new look. Anything that can make my taskbar, start menu, etc. more appealing.
