I have to chime in here, I am seeing somewhat similar behavior. Just uninstalled WB5 restarted, then installed WB6, and restarted. Upon coming back into Windows and when applying a theme (Molten) my system locked. Finally able to get up task manager and attempted to reboot system. System hung on attempted reboot, so I held the power button down after about 20min of waiting. Restarted and tried to promptly uninstall WB6, no dice, system froze. So, I tried restarting again, froze on restart a

Thanks, awaiting their reply, when I get this thing closer to done (regardless of their answer) I will submit it here. I think this little menu is doing some very cool things with cloning, object placement, and vbscript in general. Also be good to get some feedback on any ways to increase efficiency and hopefully help someone else out with scripting.

I am licensed for two copies of the professional version. Is creating an application to run on a desktop violation of the pro license agreement? If I was doing a shell replacement or something like that I would think it might infringe upon the Enterprise version. Anyway, thanks for the question, I will follow up with sales to verify compliance. As a side note, if things shake out with sales, I have decided to just read the machines OU membership inside my main script and call which f

Hello all, I have created a menu system widget that uses a text file to generate shortcuts I want to appear on the users desktop. The text file is located on a network share so I can easily modify any items I want displayed on their desktops. The issue is I want to use this for different groups which all have different application needs. Is it possible to launch a widget and have it interpret and pass an argument that tells the widget which text file to use.&nbs

Not trying to start or continue a flame war, but I asked for ideals on scripting, not on preparing my business case for a particular piece of software. I am evaluating many options in completing this request. I have toyed around with DX for sometime and have really enjoyed the functionality of some of the gadgets the community has produced (and was very impressed with the support of the community). I thought it would be nice if I could leverage this to improve the experience for the end users

Good points, but the system has to be revamped, as it will not work properly in the new enviroment with Explorer.exe as the shell (throws error on every app launch). The guy who supported this menu has retired, and there is no Winbatch support here except for me and that is one big convoluted script. I have been directed to replace this with something similar in apperance that we can use for this and other uses.........and besides, its a tobacco company, we got fat wallets (or at least our lawy

Looking for a little jump start on some scripting or ideals on how to convince my boss this is a useful tool for an enterprise environment. I am trying to recreate a menu system we use on our manufacturing floor as a proof of concept. This menu is currently written in WinBatch and is UGLY. I need to script a menu that gets its list items from an .ini file on the network, then check if the files are actually installed on the local system, then if it is, display that in a menu for the end users
