Bought hearing aids about 2 years ago. Don't use them - they just amplify all the things I didn't need or want to hear, everything except the voices I did want to hear more clearly, even though they were "tuned" to my audiogram. Only positive was they functioned nicely as ear pods for my iPhone. YMMV

As one of the 'per pixel' Notepad skinners from way back, I'm intrigued by the possibility of using AI to resurrect old, currently incomplete or incompatible skins to the current format (assuming I could find the original skin files). I have no other interest in AI but that I could consider.

Adobe pulled the same sh*t with Acrobat licenses 2-3 years ago. You were good until you needed to reinstall for any reason. They are evil. As an aside. I'm still using PSP6 as well. Between that and MSPaint, my graphics needs are met. though I don't skin anymore.

Principal advantage of saving/using individual downloads is preservation of access to the installers if your sub ever expires. Since you are on a legacy subscription, they will function using the existing serial # indefinitely. I'm not sure Object Desktop Manager will do that (I don't use ODM). 0.02

With prior HD failures I've had great success replacing the HD with a Samsung SSD which includes cloning software that has worked perfectly each time. They are around $50 these days for a 500GB drive. Assuming it's hardware failure, data is usually unscathed & it leaves you like nothing ever happened. YMMV.

The applications are so easy to manage via the individual downloads that it may be more trouble than it's worth to try to get ODM working. There is only marginal convenience in using ODM even when it works fine. It has been problematic for many people for a long time now. I think most of the individual apps have update notification toggles if that's important to you, but I just visit my SD account every once in a while to check for new versions. 0.02
