Ah come on, I know one of those apps does it.
craeonics
Yep, too lazy to point to the app itself, read this: http://www.virtualplastic.org/html/desk_app.html#1
Hurray! By the way, you could use and abuse that "submit news" link I see before me and get more exposure on the front page.
I am surrounded by idiots who are happy with Uncle Bill's sorry excuse for an interface and think I am the mad man for changing that. Ofcourse, they're all electrotechnical engineers, so their lack of aesthetics doesn't surprise me. I can think out of the box, but unfortunately my ideas are not possible yet.
Grr, I type like Kenray... lgeit --> legit
If I ever get me a lgeit version of PhotoShop, I will definitely read the manual. If only to see if there's something I've missed.
Haha, since when do mothers listen to their kids? Brandr > Try it the way Jafo described, use a shell replacement and configure it so that she can only access the basic apps.
That Terms of Use is pure evil. I find it amazing that I don't see a paragraph like "By using this software, you agree to sell your soul to the devil" in there!
Cat pointed it out herself: most people do not read this boards, so the only thing they see is low ratings and then they start to wonder. Maybe telling them this as a comment to their works is the best way to get their attention.
Damn, I need to have my eyes checked...
Saw that, but that's an unknown format to me. Waht is it? is it a basic textfile or do you need special software to make it?
The thread: http://scripting.wincustomize.com/msgboardid.asp?id=9927
No, more with the auto-install from the site thing. Us skinners want full control over our machine, so we don't trust auto-installers (and think of virii and stuff).
Another approach might be this: is the icon user definable or are you looking for new default ones. Case one means someone has to be dedicated to make those new default icons, so the ess-vid approach might me handy there. Case two means it is user definable, so then it's up to the user to make those icons (without any obligation to share that with the world). Besides, what kind of format do those icons have anyhow?
Alexandrie kicks Jafo into the corner... "And stay there!"
It has a bad reputation. Never tried it myself (site refuses Mozilla, so I won't even consider giving it a second look), but it seems to autoinstall from the site. There's an older thread about it on this board. Quite a discussion.
Listen to CrazyGirl. Oh, and please don't make your stuff for the public, make them for yourself. Egocentric behaviour is good in "art" .
Hmm, I usually stick a non-anti-aliased layer on top where I make the pink spots pink.
Double hurray!! Just one downside though, I prefer games where I can give orders and then come back later to see what happened, but this one seems real time...
Hmm, no idea. There was talk about a rating threshold for guest, which would mean walls with a low rating would not be visible to them (to cut down on bandwidth), but I'm uncertain if tha was already implemented.
Ah, ess-vid is just being ess-vid.
It's all about focussing your Chi, banana, just focus your Chi.
Hmm, it's horribly slow at times and ridiculously fast at other times.
That flash movie doesn't seem to load at all. Grrr...
