Aside from issues as such bringing all the idiots out of the woodwork (on both sides of the argument, see above for some prime examples), I have some doubts on the juridical basis of these actions (not taking sides here). A BitTorrent tracker or an eDonkey server itself does not host the data. It merely plays the role of a traffic cop, directing people to the data. But none of it ever travels across the tracker/server itself. So is it illegal

I put it in the same class as drinking and smoking. Rather dumb habits, but as long as it doesn't bother me, I don't mind. I do have a grudge with smoking in general, since it, by default, is something you will bother others with (unless you lock yourself up in a controlled environment). But that aside. It is currently legal here to use it for medical purposes. So if it works for those users, I'd say go for it.

Trash the apps that use too many. Rather blunt, but that's the only thing a user can do. Handle usage is more something developers should pay attention to.

One thing that becomes painfully obvious, now that I have one of them ultra-crisp TFT screens, is that WindowBlinds really needs to have alpha shaded borders implemented. Those rounded edges look plain nasty. Maybe you should have gone for a thicker black edge instead of trying to cut it off a close to the gradient as possible.

Standing out of the crowd has its merits. It gives one an overview of where the herd is headed and what it's doing instead of blindly following it. Site's not too shabby. Graphics look good, textual part needs some work (something few skinners seem to understand, so don't worry). Perhaps you should give your header and footer a light grey background instead of this glaring white. Should help distinguish blocks better and give it more "structur

I thought you were in the multimedia biz, paxxy? Anyhow, if you feel comfortable with Macs and aren't too tech savvy, then I'd say it's best to stick with the Mac. The differences between "Carbon" and OSX are under the hood mainly. Usage is about the same, I'd say. Hmm... 1) Blue/white corporate colour scheme; 2) brushed metal tabs; and 3) inconsistent styling/font usage. Whereas the old site had its own distinct feel, it looks like your average dotcom site now. Fortunately it's much faster and seemingly has more features (which I still need to check out). By the way, why are personal icons limited to .jpg? I'd very much like to use a .gif (because of transparency).

I know see an error when I visit http://www.joeknowledge.com which is good, since that means the code is getting parsed by the server before being sent out. The error says: "The @ command can only be used once within the Active Server Page" and looking at your code, the only @ I see is on the first line. Perhaps that same line also appears in MAIN.htm. Contrast should always be maximal. To correctly set brightness you need a test pattern, flick up the the brightness to max and lower until the lowest level wehere you can still distinguish the individual colours. And to avoid eye-burn lower the colour temperature (but that will toast any accurateness you might have configured).
