Vista and WB skinning issues. in Community WinCustomize Forums

Ok, Yes, i am slowly coming to term with the fact are converting slowly to Vista and we all knew it wouldnt be an easy transition especially when it comes to skinning. However, I personally have not dual booted it yet for a variety of reasons. The reason I would like to cover here is just skinning it adequately with WB. The only thing I wish more skinners skinned was the hover image on the "All Programs" button. The reason a lot dont is it can cause problems on some systems if not done correctly and on some others no matter how you skin it, it can cause probs. Then of course, some dont know how to. Its a damned if you do , damned if you dont area.

Wouldn't let me edit again Sometimes in the attempt to skin outside the box in one area it affects another area adversely. Theres nothing you can do about it other than skin for maximum useabilty to start with. There are few and i mean, counting on one hand few.. completely useable in every application..skins. If this is a visual style that you imported along with the shellstyle (which looks like it may be the case) then those text colors are going to be defined in the skins .uifile and you wont be able to edit them directly in SKS. You'll have to edit the code in the .uifile in a text editor. Try what Diawa said first.
