Loses keyboard function; mouse continues to work in Multiplicity Stardock Forums

My system keeps losing keyboard function on the secondary, but the mouse continues to work. Originally thought it might have been due to slightly different revs on the two machines (Vista Ultimate primary, XP Pro secondary), but that was resolved. Sometimes rebooting the primary fixes it, but that is very frustrating. Any ideas?
