I am often amused by people who claim "where are the links" as if you somehow made this up when in reality they either refuse to accept it or just plain suck as googling.link-link same story, different site link not exactly a new article but does prove t

Obama is actually proposing 'more of the same' with a continuation of Bush bailouts. Kind of ironic isn't it? Lions will lay down with sheep, Jews and Muslims will all get together and sing kumbaya, all this will happen in the first hour of his presidency,

If you consider the two excerpts that were presented by you and KFC, one might conclude that Jesus was a hypocrite at best or worse a schizophrenic. If you consider KFC's reference to Matt 5 one might conclude that Christians are to become a doormat to the world if you adhere to the literal text vs. considering the importance of

Though I know you said it to make a point. I do agree that if they, the gay persons involved, assaulted someone, then yes, they should be held for that offense.
I have never in my lifetime seen such hatred for Bush. There is a Vietnam vet in my area that holds up the weekly Bush Bashing sign. I decided one day to stop and ask the veteran some questions. First, I politely thanked him for his service. Then I proceed to ask him about his sign and what specific message he was trying to convey taking careful note of every 'hate bush' statement he made.Meanwhile, my wonderful and loving town folk wer

While Bush hatred is no new thing this latest demand from the far left reaches new lows; they are demanding that first Dick Cheney resign, the President Bush do the same so Nambla Nancy Pelosi can become President and work "more closely" with the Messiah Barack Obama. Never mind that Bush is already working closely with Obama. Never mind that never in history has a President resigned under these circumstances. Never mind that the tradition of a orderly transition of power has always b
the principle here is to be willing to suffer loss for another.Agreed. It certainly does not instruct one to be a perpetual victim, suffer continual abuse, or make oneself an easy target for criminal behavior.Offtopic--Elie, I've been meaning to dial the phone your way all weekend, but both Simon and myself have had a terrible case of laryngitis for several days now. Mind readers, Changlings vampires good and evil as hell, serial killers and more. The last episode of the season is tonight, sadly I will have to wait another 6 months for it to continue. Boo hoo.

It was taboo to slap with the left (unclean) hand, or slap on the other side of the cheek. Basically, once someone wrongs you, you accept them as equals (which is what a slap on the other cheek would mean). It does not mandate pacifism, just condemns down-and-out grudges. No one group should be ABOVE THE LAW!!!!Amen.
Glad you agree.</p
I agree with Dr. Guy. The concept of hate crime is silly. There are crimes, plain and simple. But yes, anyone actively assaulting another person should be charged with a crime. But there seems to be an attempt to take an isolated incident(s?) and use them as a condemnation of an entire group.
Hate crimes were invented to protect "specific groups" of people like if a white gets in a fight with a black man it's just a fight, BUT if the white

Protecting ones self is the first law of survival, even Christ blew his stack at the money changers at the temple. so if Christ can blow it once so can a Christian.Hence the importance of context.
