[quote who="Mark Phelps" reply="313" id="3826260"] I have an Object Desktop subscription that is expiring and currently costs $20 to renew. The Retail price is $50. When it first came out, with Win7, I subscribed to OD because I could download and run nearly a dozen different apps. Over time, this has cut back to Startxx and Windowblinds -- which means they cost me $10 each, more than the $5 (?) for Startxx alone but not enough to matter for me. But I don
[quote who="sdRohan" reply="51" id="3830075"] Quoting ULTRA1, reply 50 I'd like to know when this will be fixed? It would almost be easier to re-write the entire application than fixing it at this point. Get things done Stardock! You have paying customers with a unusable product. We are contin
Not positive of course but I doubt that would have any effect since the wallpaper engine doesn't utilize taskbar skinning. It seems the WIndows 11 taskbar is the thing that is off limits for customization, at least for now.
If you also use Windowblinds that is the likely culprit even though it's Fences that is actually doing the crashing. Weird, huh? Try unloading Windowblinds first. That worked for me, not a single crash since I unloaded it so I sadly uninstalled Windowblinds today until it is updated to work with Windows 11
By any chance are those of you having this issue since updating to Windows 11 also running Windowblinds on that machine? I ask because after pretty much beating my head against a wall trying to figure this out it turns out the culprit was actually WIndowblinds which is not yet compatible with WIndows 11. Surprised me it wasn't as it stayed installed and seemed to work mostly fine after the update. I unloaded Windowblinds this morning and not a single crash since then so I just u
I just updated to Windows 11 yesterday. I finally got tired of looking at the update reminder in my taskbar after it sat there for over a month. I had actually stopped using ObjectDock years ago, can't remember why now and actually just reinstalled it yesterday just to get a visible clock with a second hand since my 3rd party taskbar clock I've used for ages won't work with Windows 11. I am a little disappointed there's no new content for it in Wincustomize but I can say the app itself seems
I finally decided to install Windows 11 yesterday after looking at the update icon in my taskbar for over a month. I played with a bit and really liked it. With windows.old files retained my C drive was at 99% so I went all in on Windows 11 and deleted the Windows 10 files making it much more difficult to roll back should I need to. Now I am somewhat regretting that decision. The issues started with explorer crashing, then this PC started crashing. Then I started getting f
I took a chance and instead of purging I just uninstalled through Windows. I did get a message that a couple of .dll files couldn't be deleted, I just hit ignore and finished the uninstall. Then rebooted the computer and reinstalled version 3.09 and it worked fine. I think preserving the .dll files actually helped since the reinstall restored all my previous settings so it is just like I never installed the update in the first place. I will not be installing this update ag
I have the same problem. Any idea where we can download the older version?
If you like the default Windows 10 start menu you but want it to more closely match the color of your Windowblind skin you can go to personalization in the control panel and change the system color from automatic to whatever color you want to match your Windowblind skin. If you like and use the live tiles on the star menu I would suggest just going that route as Start10 doesn't seem to support using the start menu skin included with the Windowblind yet if you use the Window
I'll chime in and agree that this is a feature that I would like to see. I switched to modern style because the Windows 10 style doesn't seem to have an option to use the start menu for Windowblinds. I didn't use the live tiles too often, but I find I do kind of miss having them available.
That sounds like the same problem I had, maybe. I was wanting the Start 10 menu to match the Windowblind and there were no options to change anything for the style/color. Having an olive green start menu with an amethyst purple taskbar was jarring to say the least! The options I found that worked are go to personalization in the control panel and change the system color to something that matches the windowblind color. This seems to be the only option if you are using the Windows
V 2.13 is working fine for me on latest version of Windows 10
I agree completely . If there is a way to do this I would be more than pleased. I looked at the start menu and pretty much went "where the heck is the search bar??" I ended up actually uninstalling Start 10 because my often used search bar wasn't showing up so for now I am just using the Windows 10 start menu though I really am not fond of the giant cortana search bar right on the task bar. I would much rather have both the style and the functionality of the old search function.
Only running one monitor here, but Dreamscapes seems to be working fine. Granted I haven't tried to change dreams as I really don't want to break what is working fine.
Windowblinds is skinning everything for me except the taskbar. I assume Stardock is working on an update that will be fully compatible with Windows 10. An odd one is looking at the Stardock compatibility page it indicates Deskscapes is not compatible, but mine seems to be working fine. Of course I haven't tried to change the theme yet, and won't until there is an official working update as I am afraid that will break what seems to be working just fine for now.
Looking forward to a new Stardock Central here too. Yes, I know I can download full versions of my apps in the store, but I have no idea without checking each one individually which version I currently have compared to the version in the store. This is making finding and installing updates a giant pain in the rump!!! I really miss a single client that will look at my apps and tell me if a newer version is available.
Help please! Running Vista 64 bit, just installed SP2 today and my dream files are no longer available. In the "personalize background" screen, location for dreams is C\"username"\AppData\Local\Stardock. There are no files in that folder so I tried changing the folder to C\"username"\documents\stardock\dreams and it says there are no files in that folder, however when I manually open the folder all the dream files are there. I then tried copy/paste and copied the
