Thanks. That worked. Is there a way to get the menu to be centered on the button? It tends to show to the left of the icon with the right corner of the menu starting at the icon.

The default Start11 shortcut on Objectdock is not opening my customized Start11 Menu. How can I create a shortcut which will do that? The link points to C:\Program Files (x86)\Stardock\Start11\Start11.exe. Is there a way to get the customized menu from a shortcut? Top is OD default; bottom is my customized menu. Paul M Ruzicka <
Thanks for the feedback. I figured out that the problem was that the links were copied from my old computer. I had to Unblock them in the General Properties tab. Most of them work now...
Can someone explain how to make a rule to get an internet shortcut (URL) to go to a specific fence. I tried using .URL and they go to the Fence, but a security warning window pops up asking me if I want to open it. I just want it to open without the security windows popping up. Not sure what I am doing wrong. The links do open after I click Open on the security window, but I just want one click to open.
I believe that worked. Hoping it stays that way, Thanks.

So in this video, you can see how there are no fences showing and moving my mouse over the whole screen does nothing. If I hit the Hotkeys to show the Fences I can see them, and there I showed the opacity setting on one of them at 0% (visible only on mouseover). As soon as I do something else, the fences are once again gone and mouseover does nothing. I have to use hotkeys to see them. This is unsatisfactory. Prior to this update to v. 5 when I started my computer and fences started automatic
I spoke too soon. Once again - when I start the computer, the fences do not show up on any mouseover. So it is NOT fixed. Apparently they just randomly start to work. I have no clue what turns that on or off. I guess I need to open up a tech ticket as I am clueless on this.
Thanks. I think it's fixed now. Peek really screwed that up...
You are not understanding me. I do NOT want the rollup feature. I want what I had with version 4. The Fences were NOT visible UNLESS I moused over them. They would then BECOME visible.
I do not want to click on corners to see my Fences. I have been using it for years and I use what was the mouseover function to see Fences. Ever since I enabled peek, the mouseover function doesn't work, or works randomly. I disabled Peek and nothing changed. Where is the mouseover to see Fences option in Fences 5? I know how it works - like I said I have used Fences for many years.
I am frustrated with the same type of thing. I want the mouseover to show the Fences. The Peek at the corner is a pain in the ass compared to using mouseover. Has it been removed from the program? Can't wait for an answer. I am about ready to remove Fences and put version 4 back. Can't understand why they would take this away and replace it with something more tedious and time consuming.
The whole start menu became a jumbled mess; right clicking on areas was originally pulling up a menu with function, and after the mess started, the menus were large and blank; clicking on areas in attempts to fix or restore anything just made things worse. Had to reboot the WIndows 11 machine to get it back to normal - at least until I tried changing things again (which seemed to work at first and then became unruly). I was previously using the previous v2 version. At present,
I just updated Start11 v2 to 11/8/23 version and it started fine, but when I started changing things, it went bat shit crazy. How do I get the previous version installed again, because none of the issues that are presenting now (and there are many) were happening prior to today update?
The link is invalid or expired.
It's very annoying. Usually Stardock is better than this.
Regrading K-Lite codec pack, it was already installed, and when this happened, I set it to default settings and reinstalled an updated download. It had no effect on the problem.
I had not. Changed it to the "Use Media Foundation . . ." (from "DirectShow EVR" which is where it was set), and it now works. I hesitate to do anything else at this point. Thanks for the help, although I am unsure as to why this would have happened since it was working fine previously and I did not touch any DS settings.
I should add that there is no problem wit the static wallpapers. None before, none now.
Purged, reinstalled latest version from my account page, rebooted. Same problem. Preview turns black and then I get the MPEG-2 message.
All of them. None that worked previously work. None that I download work. All I did today was go to download a new one and change the animated background. I tried uninstalling Deskscapes and reinstalling and that did not work. They no longer even show a preview image. Sakura Cherry Blossoms in Japan is the one that was running fine before I went to change it. Now it doesn't work. Lost as to what to do at this point.
Deskscapes stopped playing video backgrounds that previously worked. WTH? Unable to load this background. Typically means you do not have a decoder for MPEG2. Click here is a waste of time as it addresses older Windows versions. I thought I fixed this years ago. How does it keep coming back? Why is there no straightforward way to fix it? I have totally updated latest version of Windows 10. I just don't get why there can't be an easy fix where I don't have to work my way through pages
Today I see it is not just STart11 that is doing this. Fences and Windowblinds 11 the same. They report up to date when I check them in the associated software and show as needing updates in Object Desktop.
Thank you - that worked.
