I'm missing the progressive party in my selection. where is it?
They exists, it is right. And sometimes, for low level AI, it is minus in diplomacy.
so the ai have advantages over you even on low levels? I'm now playing on normal AI with a medium galaxy and it's about 5 years into the game. I only have a few techs the ai dosen't have and they usually have more techs that I don't have and when the evil races declared war on me, all of my traderoutes are dead and some how one of them sent over a death knight. How is it possible tha
so at intellegent the whole thing is balanced? what about all those pluses on that guy's link?
Javascout, can you answer my questions are the ais having advantages over you or cheating on intellegent?
what intellegence level is difficult?
Did the expansion add any random events? the writer isn't picking them up. And I had to edit most of those event ethical values. The designer got a pretty slanted view.
but rushbuying costs money. Don't the AI start off with 1000 dollars just like you? And what do you mean by
difficult since : - The AI get starting bonus at each level
?The capitals are economic and manufacturing. And for your link, what do all of the pluses mean? does it mean that the AI gets advantages over you even on the easiest intellegence level? The colony ships are outside the planet. Somehow the AI get way ahead of me in tech and they influenced everything and built st
where can I download it?
what is the galciv writer?
How can you even win on intellegent? it's supposed to be the perfectly balanced level right? what Am I doing wrong? ingoring the budget bars?
do the intellegence ratings do only the two things mentioned in the pinned thread? how can the minor race build 5 colony ships in 5 turns? How is that possible? going into a lot of debt?
I have some thoughts about galciv 2 since I have played the first. First, I think that ethics should be a vital factor in the game like in alphacentauri. Second, the random events should not affect your alignment the same, if you killed a few animals it's better than if you sold human slaves to the aliens. And civilizations should have unique technologies. Also, it's good for the game to be highly customizable, you can turn on or off anything like anom
These questions should be answered by the designer, brad wardell. At what Ai levels does the computer starts to cheat or get advantages over you? I'm playing on intellegent and find that the minor races are pumping out 1 colony ship per turn and the major civs built their first capital and constructors in a few turns from the beginning of the game. I think that they are cheating. And the second question is why do the game freeze everytime when I click exit? And last again, what's the smartest le
That makes a good argument that we should only let users who buy direct see the GalCiv2.com website then doesn't it? So instead of complaining that we're only letting altarian prophecy buyers (retail or not) see it maybe we could be given a little credit for not distinguishing between people who bought it direct versus people who buy it at retail.
wow! you are even thinking about that, stingy is the perfect word to use when discribing companies like you.
Did you bother to read post #28 from Frogboy? If you did you would understand why I, and many other fans, buy directly from Stardock and no where else. I originally bought GalCiv at a retail store to save a buck. I then found what a great game it is and discovered the amazing support. I then saw how Stardock was not getting the money owed to them. I want Stardock to stay alive. I want Stardock to continue making the wonderful products they make (I also have Windowblinds). Too many softwar
And, even though you bought it from retail where Stardock actually gets little if any profit (they get it all if you buy from them directly), Stardock will support you as well as they do all their customers. I would hardly use the word "stingy" toward them as you did in an earlier post.
what do you expect? the whole thing on eb costs 29.99 and here costs 60 dollars. where in the world is downloading costing double the cost of buying the product? When I get all of the mo
and dosen't matter about me now, I already ordered the deluxe edition and it's on the way to me.
terl, a little overprotecting.
Terl, stardock makes you enter into your account before you can download any patches because of fear of piracy. This is a bit too strict. I can download the morrowind patches off of Bethesda Softworks or almost any company without having to prove to them that I have the copyrighted game.
Xoxotl, mabe you just can't take the stingyness of the small companies. Galactic civilizations isn't the only good tbs out there so you can try something else like alien crossfire or space emipres 5 that's coming out before galciv2. I ordered the deluxe edition from ebgames because that the download costs here are too ridiculous. It's like if the games are new. But I think that I'm ok with stardock so far and yes, it's a bit too stingy.
and If I join totalgaming now will I get galciv2? or when exactly will it come out? [Message Edited]
about frogboy, 2 years of updates? so If a patch for galciv comes out 2 years after I bought the game then I can no longer download it?
well, I'm getting the deluxe edition, but I do think that stardock is kind of stingy. Many small companies seems to be like that.
Where can get a ship that's better than all of the strongest government ship put together? who could they steal it from? nobody in the galaxy have that kind of ship. In the expansion, can you turn this stuff off? and space mosters, it should only be like a aggressive bear that attacks people and a cop just snipes it.
