Given my computer can run this at 1680x1050 with all the settings on low at a very decent frame rate, I'd hazard a guess at:Processor: 2GHz single coreRAM: 1 GBHard drive space: At least 1.5 gigs (I had a little over 1 gig free and it wouldn't install) (This is for now, of course, with minimal assets)Video card: 7xxx series Geforce, or equivalent (as I've seen someone else mention a 7400 which was chugging, but playable)&

So what are the system requirements of this game? I'd love to order it, but I really want to make sure I don't get hosed on the requirements.

I posted this in the Bug Reports area, but apparently no one goes in there anymore unless it's a crash issue. Am I supposed to be seeing a blank graphic during the planetary invasion screen in TA? Is this because it's only beta 4C and hasn't been implemented yet? In DL and DA, I used to get a little animation of troops and vehicles shooting at one another.

Is anybody getting this bug in Twilight of The Arnor? When I invade a planet, all I see is a blank graphic where the invasion graphic should be animating: Is this a known bug, or am I lucky?

My issue isn't with Vista or DX10 themselves. My concern has more to do with the way MS forces people to upgrade their components just to run Vista. A great example is the upcoming Halo 2 PC port that will only be playable on Vista. Why? Is there anything in Halo 2 that requires DX10? Here it is running just fine on my original Xbox. It also runs perfectly on my Xbox 360. Can someone explain why I'd need Vista to run it on a PC? The fact that GC2:DA runs great on XP tells me a

If you're looking for a cheaper card, there are plenty of options. You can even find decent enough cards for about $75 without a rebate. (I know "under $100 with a rebate" probably isn't what you were looking for when you're on such a limited budget.) Try here for a start: Linky

one thing i'd suggested to Kryo a while back is hardpoint caps: blank jewelry pieces that could be used to 'cap' hardpoints on a ship design, so that if and when the computer used the design it'd have far fewer options of where to p

Influence starbases. Sure, but the pragmatist in me sees that as a really inefficient way to do things. To use the miners in China analogy, how would you insure the miners loyalty if you were their liason in the west? a) Build an embassy (influence starbase) nearby and hope that the influx of western music and TV will keep them in line,

Perhaps there should be a way to counter/prevent influence flipping of mines by stationing a military presence there. A 100% prevention chance wouldn't be very realistic, but there should be a buffer between a bunch of colonists/miners wigging out over the GalCiv equivelant of cosmic jeans and DVD's. Of course, I've felt the same way about planets flipping. I get that you can build a loyalty cen

So far, so good. I really like reading these journals. There's some very insightful commentary given out. Even if you don't agree with a particular decision, you know the logic the developers used. Is there any way to attack an opponent's asteroid mines? If there is, I haven't figured it out yet. I hate waiting to "culture flip" the mines and sometimes I just want to ruin the other guy's economy.

These super abilities sound fantastic. I'm on the side of the fence that thought the regular racial abilities just weren't distinctive enough. +10% to this, +5% to that, -100 BC per whatever, never made a big impression on me. It really didn't make me play any differently when I took control of another race. (Of course, I don't play at the level some of you guys do.) These super ablities sound like they will really make me adjust my playing style with each race.

The EG always sounded like a great idea that pushed the boundaries of interactive fiction. That said, it may be frustrating to see it go but I'd rather have you guys spend your resources on actual gameplay items. I do think it would be nice to have the logging and screenshot features enabled.
