You can change it during install IF you make your own ISO (Sort like an Unattended install) and in theorie perhaps after installation (but may break the OS or programs..) Go to http://www.nliteos.com/ download the program (RC3 seems to have a problem so you may need to go for RC1) and have fun To change the profiles path you must select "tweaks". it defaults to %SystemDrive%\Documents and Settings but you can change it

several planets have disappeard. its invisible. the little orange hammer button is still there and i can still select it but its gone. does not show up on zoomed out strategic mode either. This seems to happen when minimizing (from full screen) the game and back to it (well for me anyway).

? What do you mean ? The folder will always be named my documents but the location on my system is e:\users\guido\my docments\, not c:\Documents and Settings\guido\my documents (No not running Vista, have had it like this for years) Just right click the my documents and choose properties and change it.

You can already do this. Just don't put anything in the trade dialog to trade with. Ah, well I did notice that but it always seemed a bit.. empty to me..

Perhaps that provides the opportunity for a product -- something that lets users configure the sub-folders of My Documents to be located elsewhere. There allready is, it's from MS, called TweakUI. Several other 3rd parties allow it to be changed as well. (And as noted it can be changed like I said ra

Ok, something I haven't noticed before and didn't read about here before so... As an example; I have 1 tile left and select a building I want at the bottom of the list. It is placed on the tile and in the que. The list refreshes itselfs and therefor it selects another building. I want to buy the building I placed on my last tile, but I don't select it on the map, instead I leave (?) the active selection on

You can always tell windows to put "my documents" somewhere else (Right click the my documents and choose properties) (I also do that with the user and windows temp dirs and for the IE temp folder (not that I use IE much)

Sometimes when I have the biggest (and stongest) army I want to make use of it without using it like when 2 AI players are at war and one is destroyed but is not that important to me I still would like the losing party to live a little bit longer.. Would be it be possible to threaten a bit ? Like if you don't make peace with my friends I will destroy you ? As for the military strenght, how is it calculated ? It looks a

Altarian=The weakest A.I script in the game. They suck period. Well... Actually..... I thought so to but in my last game I had them on my borders with 4 others on the far side of the map so I decided not to build up a military force right away so hardly no defence... After a few turns they declared war on me and came with some rather good ships my way (not to mention transports..).. So I had to design an build some ships ASAP and even had to research better point defences..

Not sure if this happens all the time but I noticed that when I set up a rally point that is set to form fleets that 1 ship can be made into a fleet. That persee isn't a big problem but.. If that 1 ship happens to be a freighter and I set that 1 ship (that's a fleet..) to go to a planet to make a trade route the game CTD's (Really took me some time to find out why the game crashed 2 turnes after the last save game... <img src="http://images

Wait, isn't the planet supposed to become tidelocked with the sun? Not the moon? (That way days will last indefinately. How would we evolve for that? When would we sleep?) By the time that happens the sun is allready out of fuel, if it happens... And even if that's not so, when one side of the earth

To be honest, I think it would be the Wine developers who need to make sure their work is compatible enough for stuff like DX9 type programs to be able to run. Not meant to diss the work they put into it as that has been and is a hell of a job but it's not the Windows programmers who should be the ones to make sure their product works on "alien" OSses

I have lost 6 games that i had come close to finishing with total domination Yeah.. I noticed that too.. The moment I come close to a victory the game crashes and all save games are corrupt.. I doubt it's a bug tho, the developers did that on purpose.....

Would it be hard to make an option where players can set their own number of sectors depending on system specs ? A bit like good old "The Settlers", the more memory your PC had the bigger the map could be. (Map size 8 could take weeks before you even got close to the rivals). If the computer can handle it why not give them an option to play a 50x50 map ?

A bit difficult to explain. I think I reported this during Beta3. It's like the invisible ship bug or it is the invisible ship bug but a little bit solved Sometimes when a ship moves the icon of the ship stays and a new icon appears. This can happen several times during the same movement. If you're a little zoomed out (at the point where the 3d models are replaced with the icons) then no new icons appears but the 3D model is shown. In some c

Not for me, as soon as I select the hardware mouse it disappears. (I have a 7800) Also, when the mouse pointer disappears as described above it only "gone" for the monitor Galciv2 is running on. Moving the mouse to the second monitor and it's back, as soon as you return to the first monitor it's gone again.

5. Starbases are too big to go after other ships. They could have long range weapons.. But only the military starbase, and perhaps a big penalty.. Like needing two or more modules per improvement and only availble later in the research tree.

I agree with the 3rd idea. Makes sense for smaller maps to tho, when you have 20 planets it's a bit of a hassle to see what planet has 1 or more ships (and what kind of).. Maybe also an option to have, next to the planet list showing build ques, a list showing what ships are orbitting the planet
