Thanks for your feedback, Lantec. I tried updating to SP3 and had several issues with a bunch of other software that I have. I'm a little leary to go back and try that again. As for all the other clock programs out there, I have looked and really haven't found one that does the same thing as Alfaclock. I specifically liked that one program let me customize the display of the clock, had a pop-up calendar, built-in atomic time sync AND allowed you to run a program as an 'alarm.' If anyone has a

Dang... after I read your suggestion I thought DUH! Why didn't I think of that before!?!? I tried it and..... it didn't work. I ran the Alfaclock program and it froze explorer again. I had to do the 'end task' on both and rerun explorer again. Now... I just had a thought and I used WB to set the skin back to the Windows XP default. I then started Alfaclock and Voila! It worked without freezing anything up. So with Alfaclock running ok, I tried changing to a different skin. Again.... i

Pardon me for jumping in here, but I've also been experiencing Explorer crashes for quite some time. I was able to finally pinpoint it to a program called Alfaclock that I was using. (I just posted a question about it on the main forum board.) Every once in a rare while, WB would work fine with Alfaclock, but 9 out of 10 times, it would crash explorer and I'd have to 'end task' on Alfaclock and WB, then rerun explorer.exe again. Just wondered if you ever got everything figured out and fixed?<

After a few frustrating months, I've finally been able to narrow Explorer lockups to a program called Alfaclock ( www.alfasoftweb.com ). This is an awesome program --so much so that I'm considering not purchasing Windowblinds because it conflicts with the Alfaclock program. It seems to lock up the entire taskbar and I have to Ctrl-Alt-Del both the 'explorer' process and the 'Alfaclock' process, then run explorer.exe again in order to regain control of my

I realize this thread is about 3 years old, but I'm just now running into this problem. I have Windows XP Pro with SP2 and all the latest video card drivers installed, etc. I just downloaded the Windowblinds version 6.3 free version (for 30 days). I also have installed the free version of CursorFX. Has this "bug" in Microsoft Windows XP been fixed or addressed yet by either Microsoft or Stardock? Thank you very much in advance for any direction or information you might be able to prov

OK, pardon my ignorance if this is a silly thing to ask, but what exactly is the difference between Windowblinds and MyColors? It seems to me that they both do pretty much the same thing except that MyColors seems to be geared more toward "buying" the skins rather than downloading them for free off the website. I'm also guessing that MyColors probably doesn't have all the skin-tweaking options available? Thanks in advance for your feedback. :-)
