hi yall. I believe that during my gaming years of GALCIV 1, i have been extremely anoyed by the default planet names such as "Krom IV" or "Calimar III". i believe that we should have the freedom and OPTION of naming any or all of our planets. In stead of "Alpha Centauri I" we could have "Neo Terra" and such. Thoughts? Your friend, Imtorolin, leader of the 8th Cadian Infantry
In Iraq, the United States official view is that we are occupying these people for their own good. Bringing them democracy, deposing a tyrant, with plans to turn over the government back to a new regime. all the iraq war was for was oil... <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=center bgColor=#FFF394 class="m
i agree. the "Fast miniballs" or "ultra miniballs" is not necessary for a good, enjoyable game. 1, 2, and 3 are good by themselves...
i agree, fat tony. "Ripe for an invasion" sounds evil. perhaps the feedback from your advisors could depend on your stance with evil, good, etc.
ya, and also: why not (evil side) force them to PAY for a transport... eh?
gj deveren! Perhaps there could be small videos (smallllllllllllllll) of quick ship battles to describe the victor of a large battle... perhaps... maybe... or just a short animation of the ships firing (*cough* video *cough*)
Does this mean that the ai is perfected?
indeed, vinco. you could also have a number of other lines (eg. science explorers vs. not researching) and then add them all up into a basic number and statement.
i agree, ugleb. One thing that bothers me is that in galciv 1, you can exploit quantum mechanics and use that for speed of your ships. would that not enable instantaneous travel if you folded space and punctured it? Sure, my ships have 230 or so parsecs to travel, but quantum jumps are instantaneous. We should have a technology that enables you to chose a point anywhere in the galaxy to 'jump' to. Just like artificial wormholes and quantumspace. thoughts?</
since they require expensive constructors and maintenance, there wouldn't be too many of them. Are you kidding? My friend and I were playing a game when we conquered every-single-square (big squares) with a constructor in each on medium difficulty. We should be able to have some star bases that could be
My point exactly, Pilot
indeed, michael. but it also said that the stargates were costly and inefficient to use for colonization and exploration. Costly in the end. Hyperdrive is less costly and offers much opportunity for colonization and prosperity
And economically, it makes sense to open beta to whose who are supporting Stardock, either by having preordered or by having an active Totalgaming.net account. and in what way is it economically, in what way does it make sense?
thanks, lucian.
I fear that only people that have preordered Galciv II or those that have an active Totalgaling.net subscription can download the beta Indeed!! but is it not logical, in a sense that by giving the beta out to the public, you will not only drive people mad into buying your product but you also get alot more feedback.</
There are 2 planets in this system, of them you can colonize 6. Don't ask me how, it's up to you
I would just like to congratulate the team working on this project and wish them good luck in the future and hope that there arent as many bugs in their path. Great job guys, keep it up!
why did you not just look in a dictionary instead of wasting space here?
Drachir, more like one is a similar race to the 'Flood" from halo and the other is a precursur civ
