@frogboy my thoughts on why they were focusing on multiplayer more than single player is as follows... A lot of developers have started along the path of shoehorning in short Multiplayer matches and/or co-op game play so they can fit the perceived shortened attention span or lack of time of modern gamers. This being said, people are focusing on the social aspect or the ability to pick it up and put it down like a mobile game on a cell phone more and more these day

I think Star Control has beaten Sins in waiting for a good sequel by a few decades. For over 25 years I've been waiting for a good sequel to Star Control II, Star Control Origins will fit the bill nicely. Just because something is top priority to you doesn't mean it's top priority to everyone, who knows Sins may announced next E3 *shrugs* who knows.

I saw at least a few people saying Google and all other search providers hand over their source code to the government and/or competitors for review. I for one think that's an absolutely horrible thing to suggest as it'd be like telling @Frogboy he has to give the source code to all his games to say the US Government or EA for review. What I believe needs to happen is the laws that protect us from discrimination "Gender/Race/Sexuality/Religion/Political Stance" should be expa

I'd say... and don't shoot me for this, the Taalo. As we know the Taalo were attacked but possibly some of them escaped into a different dimension, possibly escaping to here. I was thinking what if those weird drawings in the caves in Ceres were actually tribal tattoos worn by unlucky escaping Taalo who merged with the rock faces while breaking through the dimension into our dimension. One other possible history for the Taalo in this dimension, what if

I did make the suggestion of different types of hazards with configuration options for it, if implemented either in the base game or via mods that could help :) Just think of the strategies you could come up with if you tossed in some wormholes and collapsed it while the enemy is in it or fire through it to give em a broadside :D

Does the same also apply if the UQM project was actually named "Starcontrol 2: The Ur-Quan Masters"? I am curious because it seems scrapping the SC mark from its title seems to have done NOTHING per Stardock's perspective. [quote who="Elestan" reply="522" id="3711747"] It would make the old trademark invalid. The argument for saying it should be cancelled was that Atari renewed it on false pretenses back in the early 2000s (trademarks have a requirement to be used, so if they weren't using it or planning to use it, they shouldn't have been able to renew it). One counterargument is that the games started to be sold again (with everyone's permission) on GoG in 2011. I'm not qualified to say

No what I'm saying is without showing that was a ruling that has set the precedent for X all you're doing is standing on a soap box beating your chest, even when there's a president for X I know of no lawyer who'll talk in true certainty and will tell you if you have either favorable or unfavorable odds in something. At this point we there are FAR too many unanswered variables to be able to answer the equation. Yes Paul & Fred or Stardock would say they have the case in t
