You sound like one of them. Stop trying to defend yourself. The people in your industry are pretty much the scum of the earth! Seriously dude you didn't read a thing I wrote did you...
PS Oh... And why would SFB not be represented as the "keystone pivotal work in sci-fi games" when that is EXACTLY WHAT IT IS? You've put it perfectly with that phrase, that is EXACTLY what SFB is.
It may be but no one cares is the point, quit trying to shove it down the throats of everyone around and let new fans come to that conclusion themselve
Interesting thought on some of the races that weren't mentioned before. We might see the Umgah without genetic engineering -- OMG They were the Tywom! Lol j/k The Illwrath may have never heard the voices of Dogar and Kazon which would allow us to see a gentle spider species until a crew member screams "SPIDER! Kill it with fire!" We may meet Thraddash Culture 14 What if the Utwig were epic hippies prior to getting the Ultron and accidentally created the S
@Kavik_Kang honestly I understand your disappointment/rage/etc in seeing something you know and love not get the recognition you believe it deserves. For the TL;DR part, D&D gets the recognition where SFB doesn't because it's easier to pick up and has "Don't Panic" written on the cover when compared to SFB. Now the longer reply, a bit armchair lawyer, a bit of hindsight, and personal opinion. From my viewpoint SFB never took off to the same levels of recognition an
Honestly I could see it working out in both Adventure & Fleet Battle at various points in time with different configurations. In Fleet battles aka 1v1 slugfest it could be configured by a tournament holder, or in 1v1 against a local AI have it make the battle arena harder with the harder level of AI opponent that you select. In adventure mode... Pirates would be FAR more common outside of spheres of influence than within spheres of inf
To expand upon the ideas on wreckage being in fleet battles which can be found here... https://forums.starcontrol.com/487617/page/1/#3706486 I propose the following items being added as well. -- All to be configurable and/or random occurrences within a battle. Planetary defenses that attack anything within range, for example an outer ring being the max distance for an Earth Missile, and an inner ring for point def
While in bios it has some settings one of which says the 3.7ghz stays 'until OS handoff' which I take to mean the over clocking does not take effect until we leave the bios and are in Windows. Is this correct?
That is correct, many different motherboard manufacturers do that but name it slightly differently, that way there's little to no chance for the OS load to get corrupted by an unstable overclocking.<
Nice, congrats! So no i9 then? Thought you were hellbent on high core count CPU cause of the GalCiv. Anyway, is the 8700k delidded? Are you going to try OCing it to 5 GHz and above?
The problem with getting an i9 is you're looking at spending at least $900-$1,600 "US Dollars" on the processor alone @Larsenex I had delided my i7-8700K and put a liquid metal TIM in place which dropped my per core tem

I just had a thought that could expand upon Fleet Battles... In Adventure mode, if you attack an enemy ship in orbit around their planet, it would be amazing to see some form of automated defenses in orbit at various strengths. For example, an attack on Earth there would be one space station with Point Defenses and able to launch missiles at the enemy ship when it's in range, as well as various other smaller weaker point defense laser stations around Earth in th
I'm thinking something along the lines of below... yes I know some of it is mighty freggin cliche Scene opens with a young cadet getting out of a simulation pod after scoring top marks, however once his head leaves the pod a person carrying a recently excavated alien sensor array with self contained power source and intelligent AI stumbles sending the device flying and slamming into the head of the cadet. We then see the cadet
I hear you on cutting the cord, I had done that some years ago, but unfortunately there is a very nasty catch to it... if you want to stay current on episodes some content providers are requiring you to have an active Tv service to access certain items online. Take the Orville for example, yes you can watch current episode free on Fox but if you fall behind unfortunately episodes lock themselves over time requiring you to either have a Tv service with fox in the lineup
Here are a few things I ran into with my build using the Asus Rog Maximus X Hero (WiFi) model with the 960 Pro M.2 NVMe drive. Earlier versions of the bios I had to manually specify that the M.2 was using 4 lanes and was a PCIe/NVMe controller instead of Sata which has been fixed via a later update to the BIOS. Also, do note that Samsung has a package for NVMe drivers on their download site just below Samsung Magician - At this point I would highly suggest not installing th
From what I've seen the circus has begun, people stating about a 1% hit to consumers oriented in gaming and a bigger hit to data centers, one of which was Fortnite blaming their weekend downtime on the bug. Now if some of the knee jerk reactions are true, it's the x86 architecture that's at fault here and people are talking about moving more towards a variant of RISC/CISC or even pressuring Intel to drop x86 and open up the AMD64 instruction set on their processors
Well, with my very small amount of personal experience with the platforms I can say the following HTC Vive - More painful on first setup with more physical components to place and configure but works faster and easier with your steam library Occulus Rift - Appeared to be a little less system intensive when using the Rift Store for games, lag introduced when attempting to use the steam bridge to play steam games, and thankfully less hardware to set
A thing to know, G-Sync will tack on several hundred dollars of a premium over comparable monitors, so if you don't need it for something like highly competitive professional gaming, I'd suggest saving the $$$ and getting a slightly better video card then turning on V-Sync after verifying your gaming don't drop below 60FPS so you can avoid tearing.
When ticking the boxes on Newegg it dropped down to 1 monitor that they themselves sell. LG 32GK850G $849 at the time of posting. https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824025836&ignorebbr=1
It is as DaveRI stated, there's too much resistance through the current copper traces to allow that high of a draw for power with it capping around 75w from PCIe at the moment. That number has gone up a bit over the years as technology improves, but until a good cost effective alloy with lower resistance per inch comes out to replace copper we're probably stuck there for a little while. -- Scratch that if there's a major copper shortage which causes the technology to ge
You know, I could see him doing a proper "Uncharted Territory" for the duration of time Kirk spends on that Klingon prison planet, however possibly rewriting lore "even more so than it already has been" and making a movie rated R just for the sake of doing so isn't going to make him friends in this franchise.
Mine technically could be a scavenger race, kind of like hyenas. Sorry I haven't thought of a name yet :( -- Space Leeches
I had an idea for a herd animal that was born and lives in space and travels like whales in groups. These creatures would be in Solar systems with with a large active sun and dense asteroid belt that's rich in both minerals as well as biological residue on the rock and take the form of armored whales with mouths akin to the star nosed moles. Upon "Bumping" into an asteroid there would be a chance of it being one of their eggs causing them to attack you by surround
I had an interesting idea for a planet bound minor species. The species in question is a curious entity that's almost childlike living in bunkers of state of machinery that mixes Steampunk and State of the Art aspects while scattered around the outer edges of their "Cities" are long forgotten rusting shells of their first
