Don't be mad at me, Desert Fox! :) I'll check all that places. But it's just fun when game fans help each other in this way!
Alsan
OK Desert Fox see you there! And to all of you: don't be too cruel to the aliens! ;)
Thanks for the tips! By the way, did any of you play the entire game (without event mods, with 2 star systems and 2 planets in each) with no events in which you must choose beetwen good and evil? And another thing: when I build a freighter on Earth, send it on another my planet, and THEN send it to alien planet, is the origin of that trade route on Earth or in that second planet of mine? (didn't try it yet)
My first event was to make a decision about what will I do with native underwater specie. Before game I didn't choose how will I play, but when that event came up, just didn't have a heart to disturbe and to use them... I mean, I hope that we, as a human race, will do the same if we'll go for the stars. :D At least in the beggining!
I played as good human and never attacked first. But when someone destroyed my first ship, I tried to fight back as hard as I could during war. But never attacked planets. You know, I didn't want to kill civilians... :sniff!: What is your tactic during war in GalCiv?
My method exactly, Walldorf - to put it on the paper. Like old sea captains... :)
I completly agree with you! But, there is one thing in BOTF that killed me - I COULD NEVER DESTROY THE BORG!!! They always ruined everything... And I didn't want to start in the upper levels of technology. I wanted to beat them from the beggining, but... Failed. :notsure: And yes - the two of them combined would be a hell of a game! :HOT:
Yes... Aaaa... But just a little! :notsure:
that's "by the way"
So that's it then... By the away, game is really addictive. Can't wait to kick some Drengin ass. And, another question: does the music in foreign policy screen change when you set Drengin on pure good?
I would like to know something if it's possible... Did someone play "ST:BotF", and if you did, how would you compare it with GalCiv? Peace :d
I play the first "real" game in large galaxy after one or two "tests" in medium galaxy. The year is, I'm not exactly sure, 2192 or 93, and I didn't get any events. Is it because I have only two star systems (with two planets in each) or is it somethig else? (I have a 1.2 version) My civilization is still neutral and I wanna be good... Or evil, who knows :HOT: Thanks for the help!
Thanks, Phoenix
P.S. And when I say "in my last game", I mean in the same game but before last saving - just to be sure you understand.
P.S. I have a 1.2 version.
Hello everyone. Can somebody tell me how does the minimap works after loading the game? Sometimes (or always, not quite sure) influence layouts in minimap are different when I save the game and when I load it. It's the same with starbases and resources - some of them are shown after loading, and some are not. I send a scout in a place where starbase was in my last game, and when I find it, they reappear on minimap. Are they always there, affecting the game in same way like before and just not sh
I got the 1.2 version and hope it won't happen again. I have another question - when elections are done, when are the next ones? In 25 months, like it says in my game?
I lose the elections and save the game, in that turn or in one of the later turns, it doesnt't matter. I reload the game and AGAIN have the bonuses for my party controlling the senate, even though it's not in control? Why is that happening?
Yes, you got a point there. :) But it means that I really don't have to win the elections to have the bonuses... It's just not fair. Anyone familiar with this problem?...
I've just started to play GalCiv and I REALLY like it. But, something bothers me... When I lose the elections, I get penalties because my party doesn't control the senate anymore. Then, I save the game and exit. When I load the game, I again have the bonuses and it says "your party controls the senate" even though on "senate graph" it clearly says, for instance: my party 37 places, Federalists 45... Where is the problem? Sorry if you already solved this, and
