werewolf- SmartGart was causing me all sorts of problems. Yes, it was switching AGP off, despite it being enabled in BIOS. And it won't enable FastWrite either. I checked in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Settings, and found that the ATI Smart entry had it's start up option set to manual. I changed it to automatic, rebooted and everything is fine with AGP, but still no luck with FastWrite. Check C:/Program Files/ATI Technologies/ATI Control Panel for the SmartGart executable, clickin

It looks a bit similar to a Talisman theme I used to use, Eyegrabber (similar colouring, same wallpaper), the other reason I thought it might be Talisman is the alpha transparent boxes in the bottom right above the clock, Talisman uses those as wallpaer changers/resizers etc. Interesting thing about the Longhorn build number, I've seen other screen shots with the same build number that look nothing like that.
