Have to jump in. I use a mac book air for my job so it is not really mine. If I had to buy my own laptop that's what I would buy. Running Yosemite. IT IS FANTASTIC. It boots up in seconds. It has what they call flash storage. It is incredibly light. I can run it on the battery all day. This is in a newspaper production environment. Using classified pagination. Indesign, photoshop. I see no point in a touch screen while I am sitting at my desk. I often use my PC to work from home and Win8 would be pointless in this regard. My friend you have something going on with your computer or with the install. I use tabs and there's something like about 50 short cuts being used and there is absolutely no problem at all. OD loads quickly and works like it's supposed to. You say that OD worked fine for a long time for you. When this happens it tells me that there's something going on with your computer. I've been using OD for about as long as it's been around. FYI.
