Have to jump in. I use a mac book air for my job so it is not really mine. If I had to buy my own laptop that's what I would buy. Running Yosemite. IT IS FANTASTIC. It boots up in seconds. It has what they call flash storage. It is incredibly light. I can run it on the battery all day. This is in a newspaper production environment. Using classified pagination. Indesign, photoshop. It kicks ass. Almost everything you can think of to do with it is easy. I have to admit that I love it. I hav

Here's some sayings I found about owing a boat: A Boat is a hole in the water in which you pour your money. People get married to the sea, but owning a boat is like being constantly divorced. BOAT stands for: Bring On Another Thousand "The two best memories

Unless you live in a place where you can lock the doors and windows when you leave DO NOT LEAVE IT UNATTENDED. The world i not a nice place unless you have the means to make it so. Hope you get it back in one piece.

Thank you Ronald Reagan. You really started this with your trickle down economic bullshit. Another pat on the back to Bill Clinton for signing off on NAFTA. Finally let's hear it for George "Dubya" Bush for letting wall street go completely insane and crash the economy which the American people bailed out. NOT ONE OF THOSE SON OF A BITCHES GOT MORE THAN A SLAP ON THE WRIST WHILE MEANWHILE WE KEEP GETTING POORER AND POORER. Those lousy rat Republicans in Congress say that giving pe

I remember back in the 70's reading a lot of Jack Kerouac and he went through a period of drinking Port. So one weekend I suggested to my friends that we should do that. We all ended up passed out on my front lawn and my poor Mother thought we were dead! I think there were 5 long haired young men involved altogether. Port has twice the alcohol % of regular wine. Later on I was kneeling at the throne of the porcelain God! I don't think I've had a taste of that stuff since then. [e
I see no point in a touch screen while I am sitting at my desk. I often use my PC to work from home and Win8 would be pointless in this regard. My daughter has it on her rig and she always uses the keyboard and mouse. She would rather have Win7. As far as customizing it looks like Stardock is trying to go there with 8 and I see that some WB's are now made for 7 and 8 but I wouldn't know how that is working out. I'll be using Win7 for quite some time I think. When i
My friend you have something going on with your computer or with the install. I use tabs and there's something like about 50 short cuts being used and there is absolutely no problem at all. OD loads quickly and works like it's supposed to. You say that OD worked fine for a long time for you. When this happens it tells me that there's something going on with your computer. I've been using OD for about as long as it's been around. FYI.
Thank you Sydney. Great job! Love that wall! [e digicons]:D[/e]

I've been on and off anti depressants for 30 years. Well I suppose since doctors started giving them to people. When I say on and off I mean that I get to a point where I just say to myself I don't need them anymore and then as the downward spiral goes and I get to a point that I feel like I'm losing it I go back to the doctor and start on them again. Not anymore. I finally know that I will need them for the rest of my life. I know this condition is a medical condi

The original list. All those Disney movies and no Fantasia? Shrek but no Fantasia? Shrek but no Allegro non Troppo? Really.
What I have seen is big companies and the government being too chummy. There's a difference between having a business friendly environment and what goes on in China where people are committing suicide. No, Apple or GE aren't breaking the law but let's face it, the environment in The United States has gotten anti middle class. You have people like Rick Santorum saying the term Middle Class is a leftist talking point. The middle class people who I grew up with were certainly not lef
Sorry Redneck. I didn't list any of the weather widgets I made either. The one I really like right now is the METEO rainmeter. It's very customizable.
