The controversy that rages in my house is when you put the roll in do you have it so that when you grab the toilet paper does it come from the top or the bottom? I prefer the top but my wife prefers the bottom. I'll change it and then the next time I'm on "the throne" it's switched to the bottom. We don't talk about it. That's the way it is. [e digicons]

I was watching until I learned some things about the place they are at. I learned that the buildings were constructed by laborers brought in from the east and most of them weren't paid. Essentially slave labor was used. I learned that a whole forest region was trashed. I learned that a whole bunch of people who lived in the area were told to get out. I learned that a good part of that area is now polluted from the construction of a lot of those buildings. If that wasn't enough the who

Isn't that weather widget a Yahoo widget? Can you still get Yahoo widgets?
First off Happy Birthday to you Philly. I'll be 62 come May. I am seriously considering starting on Social Security then. It really hinges on being able to find medical until I can get Medicare. I've seen too many people say they are going to keep working so they can get better benefits and they make it but then 6 months later they are dead. My health is decent considering all the abuse I put my body through which brings up the next thing....... Reflecting back the onl

I saw where there was a Walmart somewhere that had a sign up inside the store where it said that people could contribute to Walmart workers who didn't have anything for Thankgsgiving. That's how bad things are. Hey Walmart how about paying people who work for you enough? How greedy can you be? Here's the problem and has always been the problem. GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREED GREE
Progressives? That guy is talking like a fool. He is saying things to get people crazy. Crazy talk to get people crazy. This is the problem. Progressives want a dictatorship. Progressives want to take over. I think he is talking about people who lean towards the liberal. He means Democrats. Well I've been around the block a few times. The Democrats that are around now would be moderate Republicans years ago. There aren't any real progressives or liberals around anymore that ha
I remember when this site was re-done. There were some pretty good glitches. Even now there are glitches now and then here. [e digicons]:D[/e]
I got a promotion from Comcast for a year. $58 bucks a month for internet and basic cable. It's basic. Not too much more than the broadcast channels. We do get TWC, CNN, History though. Need this because where I live you would need a real powerful antenna to pull in broadcast channels. I also got a ROKU which is fantastic! I pay 8 bucks a month for Netflix. The total is 64 bucks a month. There's a lot to watch! You have to keep calling and badgering Comcast though for promotio
Better start coming up with a plan to manage this transition, though. Greece is going commie soon, others will follow... Governments are burning the world over... If you think this can't happen to the US, better open up the history books.

Anyway this post is about types of firearms you own, not the political debate about ownership.
You are a Moderator? I wanted a shotgun just for insurance. In case a bad guy broke in the house but the wife won't allow it.
With regards to how workers are categorized, they're always regarded as a "cost". That's just accounting. Companies have Revenues and they have Expenses. There's nothing wrong with being an "expense". It means that people (stock holders) find value in them. It is certainly a lot better than being a liability.
I understand where you are coming from. You are explaining. The problem here is that people like to be thought of as people, not "costs" and when an av
Greed Shmeed. Call it whatever you want but the fact remains that by sitting on all that cash and not hiring AMERICAN workers these companies are not growing the economy. Some outsource to India and The Philippines. Some have their products made in China. Since 2001 something like 50,00 factories have closed in the U.S. Millions of jobs lost to Mexico or China yet a lot of those companies are sitting on all those profits. So yes when this sort of greed guts our labor force and throws
I don't lump Stardock in with companies who call workers Costs. I love Stardock and I bet it's a great place to work. Brad is probably a great boss.
It's quite plausible they would sit on a trillion dollars and crash the economy, if they felt they would gain from it.
And they will. My best wishes and hope go out to you! I'll be out of work next month and I fear that what is happening to you will also be my fate. I'm 61 years old with just a High School education and in my business those kind of credentials are now worthless. I'll do all I can to prevent it but still that cold sick fear settles right in the gut. It eats at you and you have to be strong to just keep that fear at bay. If you let it gain control of you that's when you are doomed. All
I dunno how these points will fit in here or what Ayn Rand would say about them but here goes: No matter how you slice it, when it comes to income and wealth in America the rich get most of the pie and the rest get the leftovers. The numbers are shocking. Today the top 1 percent of Americans control 43 percent of the financial wealth while the bottom 80 percent control only 7 percent of the wealth. Incredibly, the wealthiest 400 Americanshave the same combined wealth as the poore

You can change a lot without going into Skinstudio at all. First you have to go into the skin itself. On win7: My Computer, C drive, Users, Public, Public Documents, Stardock, Windowblinds. Open the skin you want to fiddle with. There will be all the parts to the skin there. You'll need a graphics program that opens TGA files and Bitmap files. What I do is make a folder in My Documents and name it for the skin I am playing with. I copy the part of the skin that I am changing into that fol
