In the bad old days of 'skinning by notepad', before SkinStudio was around, there was a 'list' of sorts.....but it'd be next to useless with the modern WB proggy... but there must be a list still around though.. is there a specific name for that code? is it a language of any sort?

None...except for a bootskin maybe, i have slow computer, and none of the skins I've used is practical to me since the skins make me even slower.
How do I include a permission when I submit my bootskin? Can i send my bootskin with the permission in a zip folder?
With the recent release of Windows Vista by Microsoft, I wasn't all that surprised with people making the new Vista bootskins left and right. And I'm pretty sure that not all of the bootskins are actual bootskins of Vista. If someone in the WinCustomize community happens to be one of subscribers who have a copy of the Vista beta version, I would appreciate it if one of them would make an actual bootskin used by Vista.
If I was to make a skin using the logos from StarDock softwares such as bootscreen, Objective Dock, etc, do i need to aquire permission from StarDock? And what about the logo of WinCustomize?

Well, I just got a copy of PS CS 2 over at BestBuy, but I still can't convert image to a 16 color format and save. I know how to index the color and all that, but when I save, its still in a 24 bit Bitmap format, all suggestiion/help appreciated. Thx
