i`ve mod tech tree planet improvements events and startbase modules custom race Anomalies Political parties and and a few custom maps also Planet Descriptions and Terrain Color Schemes which are a little trickier !!!Height Maps can be a pain gotten them to work with Terrain Color Schemes,.... so as far as note pad i use it allot on the xml file and then check them with IE to make sure i did not make any mistakes The UI using destopx i would not know where to begin and and some of the

[/quote] yes it is cool to do that with all races plus i have a custom race i`m working on for myself the Sol system i found most the world maps on NASA sites so i adjusted the colors some anded them to the game i put more time om earth so the night lights would show up more then the did before i started !!!!

well i was going to post a pic !! can`t get IMAGESHACK to come up but i got Toxic and Mars Barren mercury but the other 2 planets come up wrong !! testing in DA BTW get the pic [img]http://img227.imageshack.us/img227/1696/planettypeli2.jpg[/img] it`s like the game stop reading the file after Mercury !!!
