Here's the latest on this bug... I finally got a support tech to send it up for inspection by the development team. I'm hoping that path gets me somewhere!

For those who are interested, it appears that installing CursorXP over the top of CursorFX was the problem that created most of the Windows Explorer crashes.... that and a small mouse utility called Kat mouse. After uninstalling all traces of both programs, I reinstalled CursorFX, and didn't suffer a single crash for nearly a week, and then the only reason I think I have had any crashes again is because I reinstalled Katmouse agaiin. Is there any good reason why the Inspired My Colors themes have to be made up of encrypted components? I can see good reason for that strategy for licensed products, but cannot see it for Inspired themes. I would dearly like to put a few things to together as part of an "improved" or expanded theme for use on my own desktop that are from other themes, but Theme Manager will not allow it. Can you please fix this?

Would it hurt Stardock if they created a version of My Colors that can be skinned by Windowblinds? I have an XP machine and expect to have it for some time to come because I hate Vista Aero Themes. My Colors is a locked in version of Aero-like theme I can't abide. And it macthes nothing elses on my machine. Could you please make it posible to skin it in XP or Vista? Thanks.

Here are my comments on Impulse build 2.90.166. I'm on dialup. The content updates at startup are slow and even occassionally bring Impulse to a stop. When I first used the Communities Tab, I could not find any of the icons that worked. It wasn't until I left for awhile to take a leak before I found out that one of them really does work! It's just that the downloads are so slow that it's like watching grass grow or a pot to boil.&n

I have a Dual AMD processor in my machine, and the sp3 install went on without a hitch. I have an Asus motherboard and drivers. Guess they got it right. Haven't noticed any significant changes in the way XP operates, but I have noticed a snappier start menu. Sometimes in closes back up before I have a chance to select an item. I'm going to reset the hover time for a longer period in Tweak UI and see if that helps.

Questions: 1. I haven't seen anywhere what it will cost to resubscribe to Object Desktop Ultimate. 2. When do we get our first free My Colors theme. I'm assuming that the two giveaways (Quest & Diamond) that come with My Colors aren't included in that category, as it would give the supposed benefits of a subscription to those who have not subscribed. 3. Now that Icon Packager 4 has been released, what are Stardock's plans for their next great 2008 release?

In case anyone is interested, I think I found the source of my Explorer crashes. For some years now, I have been running a small mouse utility called KatMouse. It evidently conflicts with CursorFX (and CursorXP, but less so). Once I un-installed the applet, the crashes ceased.

Never got a response on this one, so I'm going to bump this back to the top. I don't think anyone understood what I was talking about. Anyone else having a similar experience?

OK. Now the crash problems are back again. I had uninstalled Cursor FX until a new Theme Manager could be relesed, but got impatient and decided that I would reinstall it again. Now I'm having frequent Explorer crashes again as I described at that top of this thread. Has the cause of this problem been isolated yet? Anything being done to correct it? I am running the latest version downloaded from Stardock Central on WinXP. Currently I have the Argos cursor installed, but have had

Frogboy, Once installed by My Colors, will we be able to use Object Desktop to make color and font changes, recombine icon, cursor, object dock, and other packages into a customized version of the theme in Theme Manager?

Points: 1. When do ODNT subs get their first free My Colors Suite? Will we have a choice of skins to choose from, or will we have to take what they'll give us? 2. I would rather prefer a suite without the My colorss app to apply it. Please listen to our pleas on this. When you already have a whole menu of programs to mess with your desktop, My Colors is pointless redundancy. 3. I also agree that the price is a little too hefty. Can't we compromise with somthing
