I've spent countless hours over the last couple months downloading and assembling various skins into combinations I like. Now that I am finally ready to start turning them into suite files, I find that all the latest releases of Object Desktop are no longer recognized by Theme Manager. Is Theme Manager going to be the next great release for Object Desktop 2008? Ideally, it would be nice if it were updated and as each new version of an Object Dock program is released.&nbs

As far as I know, if you had Sound Packager on the other machine, you could simply create a package from the default sound scheme and then install it on using on the other machine using Sound Packager. Otherwise, you will have to look in the windows\media directory and manually copy the files over to your new machine and then apply them each one at a time to the appropriate events in using the Sounds applet in the COntrol Panel. If anyone else has any better ideas... please speak up!

I forgot all about those... I was none too impressed with them, though. The clock is the wrong color, and I'd prefer a rectangular digital. The weather widget is nothing more than an ad for Stardock and AccuWeather.... it's hideous. I had already found the docks and do like those. The "ideas" you referred to amounted to some unreleased widgets I wouldn't have a use for. Still looking for some suggestions if any one else has some to make! A nice cursor is at the top of my list. What is Hyperpaint, and what advantages (disadvantages) are there if I enable it? At what setting should the grab bar be set? Also there are two check boxes in the same dialog box... "disable standard windows animation effects" and "optimize resizing performance with Cleartype". How do these affect the way Hyperpaint functions?

KittyMalone... I thought that somewhere he set the font that menu to the color for greyed-out, but the setting I saw was definitely set for black, and the menu items work just fine, as though they were not greyed-out. Anyway, I'm going to give all suggestions a try and see what happens. Thanks all for your responses.

Here's what I have: 1. From what I have heard, this results from using large fonts... which causes the "More Programs" button to display too far to the right. How do I move it back to the left without going back to small fonts? Somewhere on WinCustomize.com the answer has already been posted, but I can't seem to find it again. Here's a link to an image illustrating the problem: 2

Some of the recent skins posted on Wincustomize have a problem with their start menu panel... on an XP machine, the left panel is too wide, often leaving alot of open space. Conversely, the right panel is too narrow. The menu items not only look crowded, but some of them are even truncated. This crowding is made even more obvious by the open space in the nearby left panel. In Vista, they can get away with this because they h

Yes I do have Object Dock. I did not see the advanced options option in the program. Still, I would want to tweak everything in the suite. On the My Colors web site, they have a series of suite mockups, some of which I'd really like to have when they come out, but only if I can tweak them. Stardock has promised OD customers four of these things for each year we subscribe, but it's not going to be an incentive for me to resubscribe if I can't tinker with what's under the hood. Actual

I just downloaded and tested out My Colors and I am positively seething... where are CursorXP/FX, Bootskins, and Logons? I would prefer to mix and match the various parts of my desktop the way I want them, not the way Stardock wants them. There is not a single skin on my computer that I haven't tweaked in some way. How would this be possible using My Colors? The free skin that came with My Colors I am just itching to change.... I abhor that wallpaper! And I real

Even though I have already paid for and downloaded CursorFX, I am still using CursorXP because Theme Manager 2007 refuses to recognize it. Frankly, I don't think they should have released FX until they had at least a beta version of Theme Manager ready to issue with it. It's not smart marketing to release a product intended to be used with other programs, and then not having them working together.

Yesterday, I posted a message asking if there was a way to change to a new skin from a command line or batch file. The response I ggot was for to download a small applet that was written for version 4.x of Windowblinds. So far I haven't figured out how to get it to woerk with 6.x. A number of signficant changes have occurred in program directories and organization, and I don't think it can even find Windowblinds if it can even change a skin with the current version.

Just to update my problem, I rolled my system back to FX for awhile, then made another stab at XP. I reinstalled it and I have had no return to the former problem. I would suggest that you try uninstalling the appp and reinstalling it to see if that helps.

We are not communicating here. I'm not even sure you are reading or understanding my entire posts. A "complete set" as IP is currently programmed is what I call complete. What I meant by a "complete set" is all the icons IP currently assigns icons for... nothing more nothing less. However, what I'd like to have for "complete" would include all of the applets that appear on the All Programs menu on a fresh vanilla install of XP, which freqently end up either appearing, or pinned to, the frequentl
