John, It looks like we're not getting any responses on this glitch. I am finding that if I completely exempt it from skinning, the problem appears to become intermitant, although I am not altogether certain it was intermitant to start with.

Windows XP Pro SP2. No other skinning apps (outside of Object Dock/Wincustomize) unless you want to include Rainlender. I think I have discovered the trigger for the bug. Both times, the problem occurred after I used alt-enter to toggle between the full (high resolution) screen and the normal (low resolution) windowed screen in WMP 10.
In your opinion, what is the best icon set for the Optix WB skin? Any recommendations? Sorry, can't afford a Master Set at this time, but would still appreciate hearing of them for the future.
I have consistantly found that when my xp system returns form hibernation, the cursor is invisible. I have to grope around with the mouse until my login turns a different shade to know when to click for login.
Is there a tutorial out there that will help a neophyte to create a simple calender widget, along with some sample code? I'd like to create a simple calender (not a task manager like a Rainy) to match the Optix Weather by Lovely.
So far, every time I have returned from hibernation, the cursor has been missing on the logon screen. Had to grope around with the mouse until I could see the change in shade of my logon entry to get into my machine.
I had an unusual event occur yesterday while using cursorfx... for some reason, the cursor starting passing under the frames and title bars. I restarted the system, which cured it. I don't know what precipitated the event except that I had a half dozen programs, including Dragon Naturally speaking, running at the time.
Title was supposed to be "Swap Mouse Buttons should be tied to Mirror Cursor"
To me, the mirror function is a bit useless unless it also happens to be tied to the swap mouse button function in Win XP. There should be a keyboard shortcut to change both at once.
When I use the Ctrl-Shift-V combination (outside an email program) the cursor simply disappears. Havne't tried it in an email program to saee if it behaves the same way.
It looks like I'm going to get the free upgrade. Yahoo!
Why not have a column that lists the version of programs you have archived? It would save me from having to dig around in the Programs directory on C drive for the directory containing the archives.
I have an Object Desktop subscription and also recently bought a copy of Cursor XP Plus. Is Stardock going to be giving me a free or lower upgrade price? Also, what benefits/features will I gain over CursorXP? Is this just a fix for incompatibilities with the Vista OS that I don't need?
After having to reinstalll my OS, updates, and all of my OD programs over a dialup, I am wondering if there is some way that I can backup all of my files so I can just reinstall them from the hard drive instead of having to from online. Will the archiving feature allow me to do this, and if so where does it store the archives? How would I go about restoring them after a fresh OS install??
As an addendum to my previous points and the points made by others on my behalf... Startdock makes a program that enhances the operating system of a computer. By implication it should, by rights, support to a reasonable degree, all the resolutions the OS supports. I recognize that should I want to run programs that are are on the bleeding edge of technology, that it isn't MS's or Startdock's responsiblitity to buy me the upgrades to run them. Since what Stardock is doing is enhancing the OS tha
I'm sorry, but my eyesight isn't an ADA issue. My eyesight problems are the result of a combination of a strong correction for myopia (which causes the image that meets the eye to be smaller than it would be if my eyes were normal) and the fact that I am over 45 and can no longer focus my eyes on small print anymore. This is a problem that everyone of you, if you live long enough, will have to deal with eventually. I can pass any eyesight test required for driving and can read the second to the
Yes. It would be nice to have one central program that does all the sound duties. I would like it to be extensible, so that when new programs install sound events into Windows Sounds & Audio Device, that I could assign sounds to them and have them saved as part of my Stardock Sound Packager.
Purchased Object Desktop. I downloaded the bonus skins pack, but I have no idea where they are, because they did not appear in Windowblinds Config. Any idea where they went and how I should go about installing them?
Not only that, but I can raise the taskbar high enough to cause it to cut off the first line of tabs, too.
Some new opbservations on my orginal post.... if you have your task bar doublehigh, it will cause WB Config to display with the title bar partly cut off at the top of the screen. If you have a toolbar like Dragon Naturally Speaking, it will cause WB Config to display with the entire title bar cut off at the top of the screen.
Here is a normal toolbar in as displayed in SouLuna: Here is a stripped toolbar as disp[layed in Optix: I find it rather interesting the only skins I am having problems with are ones that have been created or updated for WB 6.
I have been experiencing an annnoying bug in the way WB 6 interacts with Dragon Naturally Speaking 9.5's toolbar. In some skins, it displays perfectly normally (e.g SoulLuna1, Ares, Brio). In others, the frame initially displays properly when the skin is loaded, but as soon as you click the start menu, the frame of the toolbar (if docked at the bottom of the screen) is overwritten by the start menu in that section, which makes it look ugly. If you move the bar, the frame then dissapears entirel
Because they don't allow you to back up your licenses. Besides, I think 10 and 11 are ugly.
After some more fiddling, I disovered that it isn't just when I change fonts that the media library folder pane fails to properly repaint itself. Any time I use the "Apply Changes" button in the upper right corner of the config window, whether I make any changes or not, it also fails to repaint properly. However, switching between skins using the associated "Apply My Changes" button does properly paint the pane. Closing WMP and rerunning it will result in a proper repaint. I tried disabling ev
