I do believe AI calculations do take place during your turn. This in turn gives you a faster next turn and a "better" AI. I don't know if this accounts for the push on your CPU, but calculations of the AI are happening and that is what gives this game it's unique power.
Frogboy responded in another thread that this exactly what the AI is doing.
I don't have Steam run when my computer starts - it only runs when I start up Legendary Heroes and afterwards, till I remember to close it.
I agree with Steven. That way Steam only runs when you want to play games. I always try to minimize the number of programs running in the background & I have an excellent Internet connection and an above average rig.

Yes, please take my money. I also noticed that when I bought some Steam Cards for FE LH the other day you got a cut on that. I think it was about a penny a card. You must really be raking in the green stuff now (it does pay to give people free stuff)!

Derek - I had bought the map pack from Stardock as part of FE before you went to Steam with LH. I read that you were going to make sure people who did that got the LH version on Steam for free. So I went to my Stardock account last night & followed the instructions to activate on Steam, but the maps don't show up. Steam says I have the DLC activated when I try to activate a second time but the maps don't show up even when I shut Steam down & restart. An
I have to agree with the OP on this. You may have stated the mechanic correctly, but all that really matters is how that translates to game play. You can still win mismatches without using swarm, but if the sides are evenly matched it's like

First let me say that I think you've done a great job on LH. 2 things I've noticed. 1) When attacking cities - the monument in the main square allows units to pass thru it. However if your movement points leave you in one of the squares used by the building graphics, your unit is hidden. If you can't get the building to go transparent or highlight unit in red, I think it would be better to make the building squares impassable. 2) In tactica

That is, can I toggle between FE and LH 'modes', or does FE become LH after purchase? I may want to play FE after purchasing LH (I might prefer a certain play style one day and another play style at a different time); will I be able to do so, or will FE as I know it become non-existent after installation of LH? It's my understanding that you will

I've still not played GalCiv 2, but I hear its AI is outstanding. Considering Stardock publishes both games, I'd like to hope Fallen Enchantress is held to a high standard when it comes to AI. Totally agree. I've been playing for a week & it's really addictive. Anyone who loved Diablo I & II but thought III left the rails will love this game. FTP but everyone should support them with non-game changing microtransactions if they can.

I too came to enjoy Civ 5, but I'll admit I held off buying until it was patched a couple of times. It is really a different game than the traditional Civ's. However different doesn't automatically mean bad, and once I gave the game a chance it grew on me. I'm confident I'll find enough "differences" in ATG to enjoy what it brings to the gaming table.

Keep the fixes coming!. I know Brad has said that a lot of the work being done on Legendary Heroes will be back ported to FE 1.3. Oh, and #1 reply if anyone's counting! [e digicons]}:)[/e]

Ah, the poor long suffering wives. First we ignore them by spending all our time on the computer & then we buy animals for them to clean up after. It must be our childlike wit and charm that keeps us in their good graces.

And again, these have to be unzipped into your existing FE directory.
A friendly tip to anyone trying this build. When you unzip into the FE directory you will be asked if you want to replace the FE.EXE file or save both versions. If you save both versions you can do a desktop link

I've been playing, critiquing, and enjoying since the EWOM beta. I've put hundreds of hours into this game & expect the expansion to keep my interest going for a long time.
