After 17 turns, (I was 500 turns into game before switching exe files) only seeing a 7-8 second lag (hit 10 seconds once), not really noticing any difference from previous version. I'm running it on a pretty good rig (Win 7 64bit, Intel i7-2600 CPU @ 3.4 GHz, 8.0GB Ram, NVIDIA GT530), so maybe those extra cores & Ram really do help. Can't really tell yet if AI is doing a better job, but it seems the armies I'm facing are t
It's everything. And you don't need to start a new game.
That's cool. I'll go back & reload my saved game. That should be a much better test.
30 turns into new game & haven't noticed any lag in turn times. Playing on Anthy's map with 8 factions.
I have a pretty good game going on the Anthy's map (Custom Sov & map settings changed to allow denser resources), but I'll start a new game & give this a try. I'll let you know if I notice anything different (good or bad). BTW - Is this just for the Faction AI or did you make changes in the monster/UPC AI also?
Congratulations & welcome to the club!
I believe you can turn on normal spawns of resources and monsters by changing 1 into 0 in the map file.
Worked like a charm for me. It took 3 ctrl-N's, but I got a decent start with a normal spawn of resources. I love really large maps. Thanks, Heavenfall.
So anyway, are these regular updates annoying you? Would you prefer if we slowed down and had fewer, bigger updates? Thanks!
Yes it's very annoying, that I don't have enough free time right now to play the game as much as I want! [e digicons]}:)[/e]
Nice list... but how about just giving dragons fire resist so they don't kill themselves? That seems like something you'd want fixed.
I'll second this. I wondered why the Dragons were so easy to defeat, & then I noticed in a fight with multiple dragons that they were taking damage from each others flames!
Ran into an oldie on my latest game - the She-Wolf who needs help birthing her litter of pups. Only problem is you don't get the pups if you help her and you don't get a magical crystal if you kill her. Here is the saved game. https://www.dropbox.com/s/5450uqwnrup0ytq/101_71a.EleSav
Can someone explain what map stamps are?
An explanation from Heavenfall:

Stamps are basically sections of a map, smaller areas. They are used in map generation. Think of them like pieces of a puzzle. Most of the maps will have ships on them.
You already had my $5, but ships sounds awesome. Will they be something we have to research, or will they just be like goodie huts that move us across the water? Will the modders will be able to use this feature? I don't know what planet you live on if you think that Stardock isn't made up of gamers. I would think Brad & Derek in particular would take exception to that. I didn't cite the Beta as an excuse. FE was a complete reworking of EWOM and was in Beta for 2 years. It was clearly stated as such. Brad and Derek both said that it would not fully support Mods until final release, which was Oct 23rd. If you think FE is a dumbed down versio
Please see my response in your other Post to the location of Mods. Stardock does support Mods. Modders knew they were modding in a Beta and didn't complain so your comment about patches breaking Mods is pretty silly IMHO. Added the Mod link here just because I felt the need to respond to your statements about modding directly. https://forums.elementalgame.com/435776
I am sorry that you don't find the game enjoyable (I am among those who really like it), but in the hope that one of the Mods has what you feel is missing, here is Frogboy's Post on the Modding Library which includes a link. https://forums.elementalgame.com/435776
Surely we've all learned (from that great source of knowledge - movies) that the best way to handle this is to raise the taxes to 110%, and then build some gallows & a prison. When eventually some do-gooder hero from a neighboring country comes meddling in your affairs, you thrash them within an inch of their life (because just like in the movies, the buggers can't be killed) & they'll return in the next episode, when we get to thrash'em aga
Just finished the Master Quest, Pit of Lost Voices (defeat Waerloga the Dragon Lord). You really need to raise the hit points for this endBoss. And give him a couple of Dragon helpers! It was a real letdown after reading the backstory leading up to the final battle. Seriously not a challenge.
I have had the Kidnappers quest (from Modest Inn) twice in this game. Both times I went to the Wildlings camp and fought for the captives. Both times it said they would join me as pioneers. Neither time did I see any new Pioneers. The first time my army was full so I thought that was the reason, but the second time I had 2 vacant spots & still didn't get any pioneers. Here a saved game prior to completing the quest for the 2nd time. <a href="h
What level of difficulty are you playing? Brad said that on lower levels he has the AI programed to make mistakes. It is possible for the program to roll snake-eyes 4 times in a row. Unlikely but possible.
They really need to look at this. I downloaded the game a few days ago and been playing and it's just infuriating early game when your hero dies and gets a horrible injury. I basically ragequit or reload at that point. Of the weak early enemies, wolf packs seem to be the worst enemies that can just gib a unit on you because they cast berserk and then run across the map and smash the same unit. I have heard you can get a potion or
Brad - Best of luck with the release. I hope your teams' hard work is rewarded because this is a really good game. I think I speak for all the Beta testers when I say "Thanks for being a gamer!".
Yes, some updates and any full reinstall will wipe out your custom sov's (and custom Races). What Derek explained to me, while helping me figure out why I was having trouble with the program, was that old Sov and Race builds can cause the program to have issues. If you really want to save your custom sov's, they are located in "../My Documents/My Games/Fallen Enchantress/" directory under "Units" and "Races". It remains to be seen if this issue will continue onc

Notification screen and trade screen description both say scroll transfers 3 hit points per level from all enemies to the caster. However, mouseover description says 4 hit points. When used in combat, the scroll transfered 6 hit points to my L2 Sov from 1 opponent.
Pretty cool. 13 second download. Nice work.
