It would be nice if they would do this (greenreaper's idea)finally. There's been talk about this for a long time, but it seems nothing ever comes of it.

Damn pocket pc screen! sorry matteo....that was regarding nakor's post obviously.
No offense matteo but....."Fastest to use"?? Thats exactly what i meant by the judging criteria being "dubious". The thought of using the skin fast never entered my mind or i'd guess many other people's. all the talk was about benchmarking, stretching vs. tiling, textback, etc. I could see your point if you were judging on most usable skin, but not here. Thanks for your comment though matteo, it solves a bit of the mystery.
This was all bound to happen due to the dubious judging guidlines in place. As many pointed out before the judging ended, this is one event that there should have been very little confusion. The category was for "Fastest" skin, not coolest kinda fast skin, not fastest UIS1skin, "fastest". Brad even gave us tips to make skins faster and recommended a program to benchmark our skins. Obviously these tips were irrelevant, as is the program that brad recommended (no offense greenreaper), because S
Apparently this category was not at all about being the fastest skin. Beats me what is was about though. Only 2 out of the five are UIS1 skins? Leaner green was faster than all those skins. The only truly fast ones out of those 5 are Z and Blackcomb. This is very discouraging to people who truly tried to make skins for this category that were optimized for speed. Apparently the only good use for UIS1 is for arguments about msstyles vs. windowblinds.
Glad to be of service.
It actually has to do with the coding of the page that you're on. I don't know all the specifics. Some pages are coded to "skin" the scrollbar, if not it reverts to the browser. The pages at this site are coded so that the the scrollbars will match whatever site skin you are using. Someone else may be able to explain it a little more clearly, but perhaps more in technical terms. T-Man ?
Yes, .BMP only I believe.
Congrats to all!! :)
thanks feline
* Whining Time * I normally don't put a whole lot of weight into what my skins are "rated", comments are fine for me, but for someone to rate one of my skins a "3" rather pisses me off, especially considering the fact that they didn't bother to leave any explanation or comment on the skin. My skin Alias was made with the sole intent of being easy on the eyes and extremely fast. Using Skinbench, I've tested it and it's faster than just about any skin ever made. I would like to think that my "pe
I was rooting for Canada, because in a sense it's more their sport then ours, but then "The Great One" opened his great big mouth and blamed Canada's early lackluster performance on the American media's anti-Canada "propaganda".
I know exactly what you're talking about dear. There is no exclusion in the exclusion list for Messenger, but if you have WB3 installed there are several "hidden" exclusions that are listed in the wbdg.ini file. Just open the file up and you'll see a section for Messenger/Pager. Delete that section, save it and your messenger will be skinned. Just try it.
WB3..I know it works, I've been doing it since the first version of WB3.
btw, wbdbg.ini is in the windowblinds directory.
chichigirl - open up wbdbg.ini in notepad and remove the section for messenger/pager (I don't remember exactly what it's titled in there as I cut it out a long time ago), save the file, load up Messenger and voila ! There you have it.
All recent versions of WB (including 2.2) have skinned Messenger if you just remove the per application setting for ypager.
I mean....aren't.
Have you tried the newsgroups? There are too many people here who skin pocketblinds.
That skin is not available at this time. It was made exclusively for Stardock, who've not yet decided to release it. Maybe in a future version of WB?
It depends on the category. You can continue to submit skins, but they will only be eligible for categories that are yet to be judged. http://www.guiolympics.com/news_comments_full.asp?NewsID=35
roll up snaps the bottom frame right below the titlebar, basically rolls up the window to the top. Some people find it useful, I don't use it much, but every time I do a new skin there are people asking for it.
I read that a long time ago too paxx, and think about it everytime I rate a skin.
What exactly are you alluding to adni?
