Lost On Jeopardy - Weird Al Yankovic (parody of "Jeopardy" by Greg Kihn Band) Ohhhhhh... I was there, to match my intellect, on national TV, Against a plumber, and an architect, both with a Ph.D. I was tense, I was nervous, I guess it just wasn't my night. Art Fleming gave the answers, Oh, but I couldn't get the questions right-ite-ite. I lost on Jeopardy, baby, (oooh). I lost on Jeopardy, b

One question with the mous position widget. How do you associate the graphics with the script?
Hehehe... I can think of the 12 comandments of Vista UI design. 1)Thou shalt useth thy new system font "Segoe". 2)Thou shalt use thy built in controls. 3)Thou shalt not mess with thy window frame. 4)Thou shalt use Vista style icons. 5)Thou shalt use dialog API. 6)Thou shalt use Vista Wizards. 7)Thou shalt use Explorer style interfaces. 8)Thou shalt support Vis
I happily use the three biggies (IE, FF, and Opera). They all have their uses. Opera for browsing most sites, Firefox for those sites that won't work in Opera, as well as for other things, and IE when I need a browser that just feels light.
That dialog picture looks like it's taking a few tips from Apple's design paradigms: Link Only by being more verbose.
It most likely will get changed by beta 2. Also, the true Aero interface will be implemented. Oh, and 9Iron, thay aren't idiots. This is a beta, and one aimed at developers, at that.

This is just a copy of MS Windows Desktop Search and Windows Vista' sidebar Does that make it a worse piece of software?
For all those people complaining that MS cut everything interesting out of Vista, be glad MS will still release them as free updates.
I'll probably get Vista after I get a Vista-era Graphics card. My radeon 9200 is starting to show it's age, but I'd rather not buy one now and find out that it still can't do Aero Glass.
That's probably just do to compression. I think that Microsoft may have finally gotten their act together.
Overall great release! Just a question, and a problem. Is the glow mousover effect Plus only? and When IconX is running, it causes the animations to become sluggish.
I've tried it out, but I prefer not to have a program like it running all the time. Through a combination of using Firefox and being an intelligent person while using IE, I haven't gotten any spyware in well over a year and a half. Still, MS Anti-Spyware, or the MS antivirus program that has been rumored about, is only fin
I'll only replace Windows when I can get an OS that will run Star Wars Battlefront and Morrowind, as well as any other games I will want to pick up in the near future with as good or better performance than Windows.
Hmm... I thought that MS AS looked like GIANT AS It does - because Microsoft bought the Anti-spyware program from Giant. My point exactly
Ctrl-Shift-Esc Two different ways to access the Task Manager The other: Ctrl-Alt-Delete Nice tips Thx
I use Sunbelt's Counterspy and it catches more stuff than Microsoft's and Adaware's versions. Also Microsoft's antispyware insterface looks very much alike to Counterspy's when running the scans. At first, I'd have a problem with the results window hanging, but now,no glitches! Can't say I really need it, though, as I haven't had a single piece of spyware in months. Firefox rox, but I can't say I had any problems with IE.
So then you are having problems. DSL takes as long as I would expect it to when downloading the apps(Around 30seconds). Please just acknowledge that it is you who is having the problem, because nobody else here is complaining about the "crappyness" of SDC. Then nobody will be upset, and people can help you.
I thought that it was Wipro that conducted the test. They should have included OSX server, but I think it would have been too hard to find companies with all three side by side.
Nobody knows?
Add Thunderbird and Sunbird to the list too. I see a pattern here...
From Left to Right: Start Menu, My computer, Shutdown Menu, Neverwinter Nights, The Sims, Morrowind, Star Wars: Battlefront, Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird, Netmeeting, ATi TV, Roxio Easy Media Creator 7.5, Picasa 2, Calender Docklet, Clock Docklet.
