I've not been to a church physically in more than a year Me too. The spirit within is what really counts, and the Church is the body, after all. True... God communicates individually with His children, and we are all the body of Christ. Yet I still can't get away from that admonishment to "forsak

We all worship, whether we worship God, or something else. Think about it. What comes first in your life? What takes up the majority of your time? For some it is God. For others it is money... career... fame. Maybe it's self. Maybe it's a spouse or children. As far as worship of God goes, worship is definitely not restricted to Sunday morning. It's a way of life. Everything I do, I try to do as if for God. I worship with my voice - singing pra

My washing machine broke down last week. It's a relatively new machine, so I doubt that it's anything major... but after doing a week's worth of clothes at the laundromat yesterday (a family of five - not fun), I decided that I didn't want to wait for the repair guy. I figured I'd see if I could handle this myself. I searched the internet to see if I could

He says that sometimes he's embarrassed by my writing about him, but I'm starting to think that it's a front that he puts on and that he secretly likes it. Of course he does. Who doesn't like to know that they are cherished... and if the rest of the world is made to sit up and take notice, so be it. <img s

Personally, my family does not celebrate Halloween. Since on Halloween, the entire school day at our elementary school is the celebration of the holiday (classroom parties in the morning, costume parades in the afternoon), I elect to keep my children home. The staff at the school understand and accept my decision (realizing the kids aren't missing any work because of their absence). One teacher this year even went so far as to ask me if it would be ok

LOL... I haven't seen that one... but I want it! ROFL Here's a few I like... "Next time you think you're perfect, try walking on water." "My boss is a Jewish Carpenter." "I have PMS and a handgun. Any questions?" "You're nice and all... but somewhere there's a village that's missing its idiot." Ok... so that last one's not very nice and I wouldn't put it on my car, but funny. <img src="http://images

My initial reaction is to whine about wasting taxpayer money on this 2 year investigation that turned up basically nothing... but then I have to think to myself... if it were Clinton being investigated, I'd say it's a matter of character and demand they get to the bottom of it. Pretty hypocritical, eh?

lol, hey... go back and read the bet blog. MM made good odds, sure, but who not only predicted that she wouldn't get confirmed, but that she'd withdraw as well? You got it, Baker... was thinkin' that as I read through this. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/JU/smiles/Smile.gif" border=0 ALIGN="a

Look at Saul and the Witch of Endor (not the moon where the Ewoks were from, I swear.) They called up the ghost of the prophet Samuel, and Sammie told him off for it. *chuckling* Love the way you put this. <TABLE

Got weighed and measured at Curves yesterday. In the past month they said I had lost 3 pounds, and 2 inches. I'll take it. I actually lost more, but then put some on before we started this diet blog. My body fat percentage decreased a tiny bit, but hey -- a loss is a loss, right?

nope no jumping on people that express their beliefs, but as soon as I hear you way is the only way to God, you kinda lose me. That's unfortunate, because it certainly isn't my intent, but as I said... since I do sincerely believe this, if I were to just keep quiet for whatever reasons (not wanting to offend

I'll get jumped all over for this, but what the heck. LOL. I'm one of those narrow minded Christians who believes that there is one way to God. Jesus said, "I am the way, and the truth and the life. NO MAN comes to the Father except through Me." As a firm believer that the Bible is the holy inspired Word of God, I'd say that clarifies it for me. I'd be betraying my Christian heritage and complete belief system if I were to accept anything less

Sushik - thanks for the heads up about your thread... I might not have seen it otherwise. I have been a total of 3 times to a church in 36 years. This hardly seems like enough time to base such a potentially important decision on... w
