I would also like to know what resolutions each game supports before buying. I am running 1920x1080 native right now... I have missed these games so much, lost all three when I moved the family from the city to the countryside.

I agree that this would be a great feature and should be standard in any game that has a mini-map or world map, or any type of reports. Supcom did it pretty alright, but i think it really would make turn-based games like this shine - there is a natural split between the active (playing the game) and the passive (reports). I am new to Elemental, but not Stardock's brand of 4X games, yet I still find myself overwhelmed by the interface at times. Give me the option to have all interesting info o

I would have to go with Neal Stephenson's 'Snowcrash' one of the best books, let alone sciffy books, I have ever read. It's not space sciffy, more like alternate universe America skiffy. As for space opera's. I really like Stephen R. Donaldson's "The Gap Series" The first book, The Real Story, is really weak (you can skip it) but after that it picks up steam. The Gap series would be fun to read tied in with GCII cause it deals wi

i discovered (by accident) that calling up the planets/ships dialog and clicking on the ship will move it for you, and preserve the autopilot location. I prefer to have my ships move during my turn instead of after it (its also a great way to keep auto-survey and the like enabled)

This is going to be time consuming though to since what is the best techs and what order is tough. Moreover since the AI isn't scripted, there is no "Research this, then this, then this." Ironically, sentient human players are more likely to have scripted "research build orders" than the computer players. Hopefully, human

I've pasted the process from the email you didn't receive, it all went very smooth for me. I think if you have the serial you should be good to go. Everything went thru stardock central... HTH - Downloading Galactic Civilizations II: 1. Install Stardock Central and configure it with your Stardock.net account information when prompted. If you have a firewall, proxy server, or the like, please set it to allow St

Found a great resource for multimon users: http://www.realtimesoft.com/multimon/ looks like MS Flight Sim is one of the few games with non-proprietary multimon support, looks like matrox got some companies to use their solution, "suround gaming". The good news is that Direct X SDK supports multimon so we might see more games with this feature in the future. MS Flight Sim 2004 has hardware acceleration on up to 4 (!) monitors.

Even if it is only a secondary info screen, it'd be really nice to be able to use my big monitor at home instead of just my dinky laptop screen... On most laptops you can set the external display as the primary for gaming or whatever, do you know what card your laptop has? (ATI Mobility ma

I would love to see multimonitor supported in a lot of games, and considering the dev crew thought about laptop support (which I am really happy about) I thought I would throw it out there. I am not in anyway dissapointed it is not in there - however, it's really nice to see a community where the devs actually listen, and perhaps it is something they hadn't considered. As for the reporting, I'm just a stats junky who tends to play really lar

Hello, 2 quick suggestions... 1 - Implement multi-monitor support. More and more systems are at least multimon capable, if not using the technology, and a game like this would be even better (its already great) if stats and things could be open persistently on the second monitor. (As a side note, does anyone know of any games out that do support multimonitor?) 2 - Report printing. This would just be cool, somethin
