WinCustomize ForumsIs Iconpckager compatible with W2k? I just tried 2.0 and the icons that had transparency came up horribly.

I'm looking for the source of the images that are used on Neowin.net's site - the Microsoft images that look like flat screen monitors, as well as the MS logos, network images, etc. They always use the grpahics that I am talking about for the various news posts are updated. I asked at Neowin but all I was given were links to web layout sites that gave me absolutely nothing that I was looking for. I don't want them for a web design (I am not in to web design), but I would liek to use t

Thanks for the input. I uninstalled WMP again and also uninstalled any other codecs that I had put on the machine, then went to the HD tools and had the machine do a repair at startup. All seems to be working fine now - no crashes. Yes, beta 9 is not ready for prime time yet. I wish there was still a version 8 for win2k, though. Thanks...

Can anyone point me in the right direction to show me how to fix my WMP on my Win2k machine? Installed WMP 9 beta and tried to reinstall WMP 7.1 but there was sound issues (as in there was no sound, but video was fine). Reinstalled 9 beta and now it crashes when trying to open any mvie, any sound file, etc. Any advice?

Someone mentioned that OS X was too expensive for the masses... not true. Yes, OS X 10.2 is going to be a $129 upgrade for everyone who wants it, but that is not bad at all considering you still have to pay $100 for a Microsoft upgrade, and $200 for the system (XP) brand new. I don't predict that Apple will require this kind of payment for future upgrades, but if you have seen or used 10.2 then you will see why they are charging that amount.
