I lived in Brisbane, well Redland Bay, and it was NEVER hot,
I agree. The further north I lived, the less hot and stuffy the Summers were (at least in the years I lived there). Townsvillle was way less hot than Lismore. Lismore got these really horrible Northerlys which turned the (not-insulated) iron-roof of my little house into a perfect pizza-oven. Townsville got much more rain during the same time and everything had the chance to cool down ag

Spoiled brats!! [e digicons];P[/e] It's grey, dark, cold and foggy here. And when I say cold, I don't just mean a 9°C "cold snap" either!!! (that's what they used to say in Townsville). Care to send some of your heat north? [e digicons]:)[/e]
Mine is bigger than yours... ..... oh, sorry, I don't even have one.... [e digicons]:P[/e]

By merging the site to Stardock and making it a pure commercial/business venture you are taking away a big incentive (for me, but maybe for others too) for subscribing to WC. That is "supporting the skinners" now becomes suddenly "supporting a commercial business". Not sure how to react to that... [e digicons]:\[/e]
AVMAN, Snowman and Mirsguy.... these look fantastic. [e digicons][/e] Please somebody fix that uploading tool!! [e digicons][/e]
Yay for the hue-shift thingie. And "yay" that the most useful member of the ObjectDesktop family receives the attention and care it deserves.... [e digicons]:|[/e]
Speaking of Rutger Hauer, I've been trying to get Omega Doom on DVD. Unfortunately it only appears to be on Region 1...
I feel for you Fuzzy. When I bought a DVD-Recorder last year I made sure that it was code-free, as I was stuck with my collection of Region 4 DVD's as well as quite a few Region 1 DVD's. I don't know how it is over on the Island, but here in Switzerland it is perfectly legal and you can buy them in any shop (they are usually a bit more

Thanks a lot Seabass. Fences is showing now! And here I was wondering why everyone seemed to have access to fences... [e digicons];P[/e] /me goes and quickly adds shortcuts to her desktop.
Hi there JMB, any ETA as to when Fences will be released to the public? I signed up for the Beta more than a month ago, but never got in. [e digicons]:'([/e]

Although I understand the reason behind allowing XP-skins it is a bit disapointing to see all these high-class but outdated skins uploaded. Not just the IP's but also the XP-only WB-skins that have been uploaded recently. I am pretty sure that most of the skinners could have asked a friend to test their skins in Vista before uploading them. But as Vista compatibility is not a requirement, some of the skinners might not have seen a reason/incentive to make their skins Vista ready
For those that are after a free paint program or just want to try out something different: Project Dogwaffle is a paint program which also includes animation features. I am no graphic-artist, and I have not enough experience to rate this program, but I think it is worth a try (especially at this price). [e digicons]:)[/e]
"Update"-tab doesn't change colour if updates are available. (Yes, I noticed the writing in the left hand corner, but it is not as obvious as a red tab) Otherwise it feels faster than the last version. I like the blue too. I still miss the ability to drag/move certain items from one tab to another. E.g I have moved the MyColors-suites to another tab so they don't clogg-up the 'Desktop'-tab. This was only possible by dragging the items from within the Impulse-dock to the newly cr

How did you format and partition the external HD?
It doesn't play well with Vista x64 so stay wary.
. RightClick works fine on Vista64 here, I have been using it for more than a year, and just installed it on a second Vista64-bit system. The only thing that doesn't work on some systems is the WB-skin import feature, which means you have to download and apply the skins manually.
Nope, since 32 and 64 bit are specified for Vista, not being specified for XP means no 64 bit support, if 64 bit was not specified for Vista then your argument would/could hold true. It is called semantics.
You might be right, but it is just not clear and as such just not fair to the potential customer. I lost count on how many times I had to write emails to Software-developers and ask them "If you say 'Vista', do you mean both 32b
Very good choices. [e digicons][/e] Congrats to all!
Thanks for the review HG. I am currently thinking of replacing my aging iPod Nano (first Gen) with a new one, and I am still a bit undecided on whether to buy the new iPod nano, or the iPod touch. [e digicons]:)[/e]
