Unreal Tournament III Collectors edition CD-Key not recognized in Games Support Stardock Forums

Hello, It was my understanding that I could purchase a retail game and register it with Impulse. I've been entering my cd-key for unreal tournament III and it stated that I could not register the key due to it not being provided by stardock? Am I missing something here? Didn't think I had to purchase it from you or not?
