I really would encourage admins to give those stats too in the list, referred to as "raw downloads" and "logged on downloads" when the search for the counting system is over and a final decision is made how to calculate/count downloads.

/me thinks there is a terrible communication problem from admins to members. When there is a change in handling skins/updates pleeeeeeeeease adjust these in the about section.
