Good one, Old Crab. I rate sometimes days later, when I have had it sitting on my desktop for awhile.

yep Jam, a few classical songs.
The more rates, the better, the more people you involve
Aaaaaaaaaah thank you Brazil
Totenlieder, Gustav Mahler
what I was saying was, that 3 or 4 rates per work seems the average. It would be nice if we could get higher averages. Almost half of the walls (that ended up with a 10) got less then 4 rates...
Of the 75 wallpapers that got rated a 10, the average number of rates is 3,48. 15 times a work was rated one time. 16 times 2 ratings 5 times 3 ratings 19 times 4 ratings 8 times 5 ratings 6 times 6 ratings 2 times 7 ratings 2 times 8 ratings 1 time 10 ratings 1 time 12 ratings. The most rated wallpapers that had a 10 as a result: BoXXi - Love's Dying Embers (12) Dangeruss - Scorpion (10) LadyWolf - Entangled (8) Treetog
Precisely Jam, fun and enjoy what you do makes you keep yourself healthy To each his own! Some of your submissions I do like No worries <img src="http:/
True, but the artist doesn't make the software as I read awhile back Seriously though, I think every medium has its pro's and cons. Sometimes you choose oils, sometimes watercolour, depending on the subject. For still-lives on a screen, Bryce could be it. My other point would be, even when you try to give it a realistic radiation it stays abstract. No feelings in brushstrokes so to speak, no exaggerations of
Jam I have seen some stillives done in Bryce that were excellent.
Strange, you are on page 1 when I looked. Wasn't very impressed though.
The more I see work of Bryce the more I tend to agree with Bakerstreet. I sort of compare Bryce now with 30 minute Bob Ross derivates. They all look the same. Mountains, bridges, shacks, trees...Grog's links are nice, but I wouldn't want any of those works on a poster.
But then they will probably not read it and apply it immediately as a wallpaper calling and showing all their friends what a cool wallpapers wincustomize has... j/k
Bedtime for me...
Bakerstreet, I understand what you say I was merely talking from WC point of view, that is, try not to have the server busy thing and as a result being confronted with those yelling threads on the message board. This is a thread I have enjoyed giving my 2 cents and what Frogboy came up with sounds good. <img src="http://images.star
To chef Gary...I didn't say to leave it as it is..I gave some thoughts how to possibly handle overloads somewhere in the thread.. To Bakerstreet: not enemies, they (visitors) will most likely not want to browse to this site anymore...
I still stand up for all new visitors and potential customers. I like the idea of a free site, and support free access to everything that is available here. Nobody should be sort of forced to buy a subscription, especially when they browse through the wallpaper section. If so many visitors slurp up the bandwidth what would happen if you make them subscribe? There are lots of other sites that have skins to grab from. They turn away...and perhaps the ones that subscribe will be unsatisfied and I b
I loved this initiative of Frogboy for collecting input. Paxx has a point with the wallpaper sizes. If you just could click on the WP of your choice and then click on one of the available sizes that should cut down traffic a lot. KarmaGirl: reading is difficult I don't think this *test* is useful..there must be other ways to tackle traffic jam. If you want to try something, try something first that does
I have my monitor above my TV I use wallpapers as decoration ! Some are pretty good as such.
Business rules: Rule #1 - Never chase visitors or customers away Rule #2 - Never chase contributing members away Current situation: #1 Paying members / customers are on a seperate fast server ( As I have understood it) #2 Non-paying visitors / members fight for access on the other servers Problem: Too many people try to download at the same time, so they get server busy. How to tackle it? Look at the cause of the problem. Cause: It's
That was a typical case of "oops"... Time for bed
