Migellito, I think the people that visit here often see sometimes biased ratings on skins. Whether these are walls or WB or whatever. I think that most people who submit skins here know very well what they are doing. And also know very well how much work is put into it. I have nothing against Jafo, but his last 2 walls submitted here would have been moderated on instant if I had uploaded them. In his comments he even agrees and what are they doing in the walls section then anyway? On one hand yo

Because the rating is connected to display skins to visitors for controlling bandwidth. It shouldn't be. Rate and download all you want, but if you start to use it as a means of exclusion I think it's not fair.

True Paxx I think therefore the rating-bandwidth control argument is valid. Maybe you rating system on your site need to be promoted more! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmiddle" ALT="Powered by

Why aren't the road signs in braille? Why is it called a highway, when it really is an uponway? What is wrong with my shoesize? It's the size of the average of the measurements of my 2 feet plus the thickness of the leather. They say women with big feet have more brains...I wonder if bigfoot was female...

You are right Koasati. I think it is good every now and then to do some wake up calls though. A society or community that is built on "oh, it's there and we can't do anything about it so you have to endure" is like giving in. I think the rating system shouldn't be used to control bandwidth for a start. Right now the caprice of raters is thus influencing what visitors see. To me that's not fair. We all know that some low rated skins are very good to use too. Pity they aren't displayed to them. N

Koasati: I for one refuse giving in to dishonesty. I will always defend fairness, objectivity and honest people. And I refuse to fly to Mars to start a fair base So probably sometimes I will post annoying threads here or comments. Or agree with Delicious for that matter. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bo

You know GM, the dutch are famous for conquering water. We have won land by pumping water out of area's and then dike them. That's why we live below sea level on certain places. You've got to see it to believe it

Well....I have tried to be more subtle in a previous thread. I have given some options for a change in the rating system, a loooooooooooooooong way back...That was wasted time...You have to put up with it. If a rating is more important than the pleasure of creating you create for the wrong reasons. However there are too many rated too high at first look, and too many rated too low. And, the average # of ratings is 2,5 per work...Conclusion: it doesn't say anything about your work, you are handed

Yep delicious, that's what happens when you have made good stuff. If you think the skin rating is too high, downgrade it...I also believe there is a biased look towards what is uploaded. I might start doing that too, so far I have given some constructive criticism and just left the ratings intact. What I also noticed, if you have some criticism your own work gets downgraded LMAO. I'd say don't worry about ratings (although I don't like the idea of visitors only seeing works rated 7 or higher), b
