I had a 9200se (Diamond Radeon) and it worked, albeit only without the Catalyst Control Panel. Each manufacturer does their own little tweaking to get what they want to sell. Some makers work with per-pixel, some ignore per-pixel and some just don't work...Have you tried checking the option in "System Information-Never use Per Pixelborders on a skin" to see if that will work? You'll sacrifice the transparency, but you could troubleshoot from there.<

VistaXP wouldn't work on WB5 trial...
Now that would be cool. No idea. Looking through SKS, I don't see how it could be done in WB, besides scripting (maybe??). But I don't see a scripting attribute anywhere near the StartPanel...sorry, I'm no help.
Pentium 2 ThinkPad: runs well, not using per-pixel on borders (System Info options) just to save time. Runs well in both environments. Although, if I power on when not plugged in, my start speed is reduced to 133. But this is a norm for this laptop. Strange that you get full throttle when in mobile mode. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCus
Do you have the Catalyst Control Panel installed? If so, try reinstalling the ATI software/drivers without the control panel. I don't know about the 5.12 version, but back at the 5.9 and earlier, the Catalyst CP interfered with everything skinnable on my PC. Made me switch to nVidia, but I didn't ask for help. You might also make sure you don't have more than 10 apps in windows startup. And try setting your Virtual Memory 1.5 times ins

Good to hear! I've been using my SDC when I bought the WC for the browser! Oh Boy, can't wait to see what it really does!
Cavan pointed out to me a while back that it is unnecessary to start out with .tga formatted image. Using the .png will get you going, and importing the image to SkinStudio will convert the image, if you have the option under "Tools>Preferences-Editing>Image Editors" here you'll see at the mid-bottom of the window is a check box and the option: "Convert TGA files to PNG before using image editors". Check this and you can use any image editor that ha

Just for grins, I tried a bottomwindowframe that equalled the height of the topwindowframe. This caused some unusual sizing, such as when "grabbing" the bottom frame the pointer-cursor would "grab" the middle (height) of the bottom frame. When Maximizing, the bottom frame tended to have a mind of it's own and would sometimes hide under taskbar, either partially or fully. And when using WindowFX, the shadows would be off considerably. Just some obse
The taskbar and taskbar buttons will size according to "content margins", not sizing margins. Say for example your taskbar button is 31 pixels tall and your taskbar is 31 pixels tall. If your "content margins" are set at "0", the buttons will take all 31 pixels. Experiment with this and you'll see what I mean. Your titlebar has a setting called "Caption Height", be sure to have this number equal to the actual image height. When
Freue Weinnachten, Carl! I will certainly check out deskmodder.com and look for you, maybe brush up on my Hoch-Deutsch, which I haven't used in quite a while. Just for a heads-up, you'll be using what nick over @ deskmodder?
Great work submitted by all! Happy day!
Scott Rolan Who will go to the Stanley Cup?
Thankfully, no. All terrorfying dreams, or too surreal. Ever found money on the ground outside a liquor store, and given to someone?
I'd say for the average user, ATI and nVidia are equal. For the poweruser, gamer or experimentor the nVidia can handle more stress. Just my opinion. But I do not have extensive experience with both, but the experience I do have tells me to stay with my nVidia. As I said, experience...I have not used anything above a 9800 ATI or a 5500 nVidia. I NEED MORE POWER! Lo
Steak and potatoes, with thick beer, but I nichts the beer so a coke will do. Why does my scroll bar keep disappearing?
All this to talk one person into paying for what they should not have stolen in the first place? Jafo: well done. I wondered how long it would take. Need some towels to clean boot? DigitalDanes: I like the picture! ROFL!...asshat! HAHAHAHA!!
I consistently find that their software "just works" ditto. Even works on an old pentium 2 laptop with 8 mb shared video! Don't know... I have dabbled in warez before. There was two programs in which I had a particular interest and I happened onto a newsgroup that had cracks for them. I
I do not bobsled. What is it called when you can't move your hand anymore, because you've been using a mouse for too long?
Nice tree, better lighted than mine! Thanks.

I get some of the same symptoms, NT. Especially with scrollbars, which mine just plain become invisible. Also, when adding text fonts on two occasions, the fonts for the entire skin disappear from SKS. Even installing fonts will not fix. When starting a "new" UIS2 skin to create, or when loading a skin within SKS, it wants to delete all "normal" fonts and colors and all "focus" fonts and colors. This is annoying because I already deleted them the
