c242, well said in #160. I missed out on all the hub-bub, but evidently it wasn't all good. Bichur, I'll need some of that popcorn while I read through this (posting @ #160 and still reading). I can't believe people coming in and asking Support for support for cracked-warez versions of WB!!! One word: Audacity, with asinine as the descriptive.

Kingston has been really good for me. I've used it in 4 different PCs with no problems. For generic price, it handles overclocking very well, too.

I think Corky's solution is the only thing that might work. I noticed long ago that after using any icon themeware, the desktop doesn't hide icon backgrounds. I don't like icons on my desktop anyway, always hidden. Sorry not helping. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCus

I also tested the skins mentioned, with taskbar positioned at top. I cannot replicate what is said to be happening on your machines. Even with "auto-hide" I could not match results. The only way I matched results is having taskbar's "always on top" unchecked. Wish I could help out on this one. <img src="http://image

When using GIMP and applying a skin through SkinStudio, GIMP takes all CPU usage (100%) for about 5 minutes. I believe it has something to do with the "scriptfu.exe" in GIMP. When using WindowFX with any options other than "Shadows" turned on, titlebars don't get skinned. When using Spybot S&D, blocking prompter gets skinned but can't see buttons to block or unblock. Fabio, you say your left pane disappeared? If you look close, there is a gripper there, if you click this gripper the left pane slides left out of view. Not saying this fixes anything, just suggesting...

Tofino, just wondering why you use Cacheman with 1.5 gig of memory. I run with 1 gig of 400ddr with paging executive shut off, ie no paging file. I seem to have better performance this way. On another note, you certainly have security. Have you checked the logs of Ghost Security, ZoneAlarm, SpySweeper etc, to see if they have blocked any WB parts? You are right, if it happens on your 32 bit version, it must be a conflict with some application you

Have you tried moving the sizing margins/content margins for the places and prog panels? I had to do a little tweaking in this even though image sizes were perfect. As for the majik pink, try setting tranparency=enabled, but leave out the transluscency.....?

I'm not really sure what all the buzz is about with tabbed browsing. You either have a bunch of tabs, or you have a bunch of tasks in the taskbar. What's the difference? With a little tweaking I've been able to surf with 20+ windows open in IE. AND a download or five. I guess I am not willing to throw myself into learning the ins and outs of FF or Opera. I have them installed, but don't use them often. Can't use them for any site tha

There is plastic all around that copper and stuff. It wasn't really a "meltdown", it was more like a flash. But I wasn't fast enough in getting the thing out of the board. I learned that a good fan can get you a long way, and not fooling with hard wiring the mobo. Some things are best left alone. Now that there are boards with fsb adjustment in the bios instead of the stupid jumper thing, overclocking is much easier...
