I've forgotten what the original "got one for ya" was...

You'll never know, until it's too late.
I do not see how WB of any version would kick you off the internet. Have you made any changes to your internet options lately, or downloaded and installed new software lately?
A tweak that works well.
Very nice way to start the New Year, Starkers. This development in the continuing saga of the Starkers Family is quite refreshing. She has made a big step forward, but the work is not done. You and yours will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. I still hope the best. Happy New Year!! <img src
put the pipe down and step away!
I think he said something about "get over it" and quit bitching about cracked warez when it breaks. My brother kinda talks like that.
Are you using Panda Antivirus or Tenebril Ghost Suite? There are issues with these two programs with blocking teh wb.sys file from installing. This could be your problem.
This problem you are having, I can not replicate. I even used my own skin. Opened task manager, clicked "performance" tab, have graphs moving. Then grab taskbar to drag...graphs keep moving. You might give more info, such as the "System Information" in WBconfig, Copy and Paste it in your next post. Also, what proggies are you running in background, etc. Most of the developers are out for the holidays, like we all should be, but I am sure that som
Why would you install only part of an operating system? Boggles me.
You could check the "Never use per-pixel borders on titlebars" box in the System Information section of WBConfig.
you have it all covered, aimzz. Sux that you have to show that link all the time, these days.
I build a new one every year using new motherboard, cpu and ram and video card. I'll then use whatever I can from my old computer as far as the case, harddrives and optical drives go. Same here. I usually stay about a year behind, too, just for cost and stability. <a href="../resourc
I don't know what time you posted, but seeing that I am the only commentor as yet, the interest may be low. However, I do have an interest in this ultra-minimal concept. I do not have any experience in anything but WB skins, so my contribution may be limited. I'll check in on this thread to see what other comments might be made. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Post
Have you tried Corky's tutorial on cache clearing?
You upgraded video drivers first? Then WinUpdate did an update? Have you RE-installed video drivers after the Win-update?
Reiterate: ThinkPad: with per-pixel enabled in WBConfig-high CPU usage, flickering startmenu when opened. with per-pixel disabled in WBConfig-no glitches, problems or troubles. Odd, it's quite old and works so well...
NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 256MB AGP @ 8x, ForceWare 81.98 I haven't noticed any problems with this one; ThinkPad (PII) w/8mb shared video Neomagic MagicGraph 256AV driver No per-pixel support: works with high CPU usage, without per-pixel on in WBConfig: no glitches at all. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock
Short of tracking them down and breaking fingers, I don't see how it would get any better. If you make it so that terrible things happen if you hack into a proggie, you end up with liability problems and get sued. If you leave well alone, you get ganked for your product. It's a no win situation. The Honor System only works if everyone plays. Good luck with that. With that, I thumb those who steal the product I pay for, allowing and hoping for lot
I'm strapped in and ready for the afterburners, PO. And just so you know, your graphical abilities are wonderful, and with this endeavor, will increase as you sweat. Looks like you got a good plan laid out. Scion's got the good advice there, 'specially with margins. I have spent many an hour repositioning to get a good line-up of images. It goes all the way down to the pixel count for every-damn-thing. I really did spend a good two hours trying t
Using msconfig is mostly for diagnostic purposes. If you want to get rid of a startup, remove the object from the startup folder. yrag knows what he is talking about, take some advice that you asked for. Good luck.
Me no like not able to switching or skinning and being twitched. Me stick to old IE6, me aware me a Neolithic surfer. Me no like spontaneous twitching or crashing, no have good insurance for crashing. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt="Posted via WinCustomize Browser/Stardock Central"
There's rumor of a patch for TPG instability, but you have to download and install Norton Security Suite and, then, uninstall it. The noibium is a myth, it only works if you hold onto the TPG while a major radiation leak is being mind-melded by a Vulcan. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/icons/wc.gif" border=0 alt=
You'd have to find out which file Panda doesn't like, first.
