Very simple, and very functional. This is with OD+, I have eight seperate docks for my programs that shoot up one by one as needed. The taskbar and systray docks are set to always on top, and with my start menu dock and clock dock set to always on top as well I have effectively removed all need for the taskbar. The dock in the centre are for the frequently used programs.

I'm having the exact same issue, and am also interested in a solution. In the interim, I have simply changed the folder option to "show folder in a menu" since it was taking up to 60 seconds to open the folders otherwise.
