After reading this thread, and watching my skin dissapear behind 60 desktop screenies that took a mouse click to create, I have to agree with Night Train. There isn't a whole lot creative in a screenshot. I'm not saying thier not cool and I'm not saying they don't have a place, but to watch something that took you time and effort to create vanish because joeuser has 40000 wallpapers is crap. Just take them from "just in" and the problems is solved.</fo

So where's the incentive for someone to try and write software? If they don't give it away people will just steal it. The companies probably only make money from businees class customers. I bet what Stardock loses to piracy in a year amounts to a tidy sum. It's just that people that can't create, don't respect others creations. But, I agree with Adamness, not much they can do.

Us humans have short attention spans. personnaly, I burned out the Vista theme months ago <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/smiles/Yum.gif" b

Just a hunch...... but are you using an older version of SkS? Like 4.6 maybe? Yeah, the free version. Is there a new version for sale? Because I can't get the effects I want in the skins I am trying to make.

On a couple of occassions, I opened a skin to look at it with skin studio, the first is Mike B's "Aura". All I did was open it up to look at the files and settings, to get an better idea of how SKS works. I closed the skin. Later on, I went to reapply that skin at a later date and noticed the PP Please Wait dialog box reverted to the non-WB5 version. No longer displaying the original per pixel dialog box. I never made any changes to the skin, I didn't

Anyone else have this?... I noticed this when I went to change skins one day. The install, edit, change, delete and apply skins "buttons" were out of whack. Not sure what caused it, wondered if anyone esle had this issue. On another note, I noticed sometimes when I return to desktop from a game, the start bar will lose it's transparency. Not a big

I started the major task of learning SkinStudio and I am attempting to make a skin. I really like the transparency effects and was going with that in mind. All was going somewhat well, I managed to get the start panel portion to do what I wanted. Got a decent transparency then moved to the startbar. I wanted to get the two main elements done so I could sit and admire my work whilst I did some more. Well, the startbar didn't turn out as planned. As you

If anyone can make music, then why aren't the downloaders out doing it for themselves? Why the "I'm entitled to it" mentality? Because people, by nature, are lazy. Everyone has music inside of them, it's just easier to let someone else do it and then take it.
