I could not care less about mutliplayer and time after time in these games less than %5 of the paying player base seem to even bother.Look at all the work Totalwar devs put into Shogun2 mutliplayer and it died fast wasting resources should have gone into the main game. I think it only works in starcrap style RTS games,MMO and FPS.

I do not understand the logic of stopping the A.I's playing the same game as the player in a 4x game.Roaming enemy territory is ridiculous when you see monsters and huts all over the place mid to late game. Change this.
I enjoy the threat.Losing is part of the fun.

Making armies the main focus in war and having champions as a support class is very much needed as I think the vanilla method is causing a disconnect at this scale.The vanilla feels like an RPG scale game and not a "War of the Ring"
Niche games can have some advantage because they are generally reviewed much less so less likely to get bizzaro reviews.I think 75-80 is fair because it is a good game but not in the same league as Dishonored or X-Com in my view.

Cvi5 has also been a top 10 most played steam stats game for years.I have never seen CIV4 in the top100.
I do not recall this mechanic in a 4x game since Alpha centauri.

Agreed as the game immersion takes a big hit when they are nothing like the description.
Is nuking whole cities seen as an atrocity by the others Civs.It should have a heavy diplomatic penalty because it sure is powerfull.
I like the one when you have to go from the one side of the map to the other.

This is game is an accessible light 4x title.It does not come close to having the gameplay depth of a MOO title.

There are lots of animals out there in the universe and they do not use radio signals.
Good A.I is about man hours and not multi cores.
Sword of the Stars did not take much population to make colony ships it is the massive costs of developing new planets that slows expansion in that game.
