A small update for Fences is available. This release lets you override the language set at install time and includes a fix to help maintain a consistent sort order in some fences. You can download the update from https://stardock.cachefly.net/Fences_3.09_setup_sd.exe .

Hello. I'm going to email you about this as well, but the activation endpoints still exist and appear to be activating with 2.05 on two Win10 1804 machines I've checked with. What is the OS and service level for one of the machines having trouble? I'm wondering if it's something about how older SSL protocols have been deprecated due to security issues. Is the machine perhaps old enough that it doesn't support TLS 1.2? Kris

It sounds like the file permissions on those subfolders have gotten changed by something and the Start10 installer cannot write there. If Start10 is the only Stardock app, I would delete or rename C:\users\public\documents\stardock and then reinstall. Kris

I've been trying to reproduce this and not having much luck with taskmgr. I've created a new standard/limited user and switched to that account. Started cmd.exe, then 'runas /user:user taskmgr' and enter a password when prompted. From regular and admin cmd prompts, I get an error that the requested operation requires elevation. A similar command with notepad or mspaint work properly and show the windows. Any ideas what's different between your test and mine? Windows 8.1 and Windows 10

AntiMatter, I only have one machine with the RS4 RTM (17133) atm, but I've checked with several apps (including Explorer) and things seem cool. Could you please try with this build? It'll work with your existing 30 day trial. If it's still having problems, what might be different from your install off the top of your head... x86 or x64 (only checked x64 so far). Version 1.1 of the trial? http://storage.stardock.com/

Hello! This update has several additional fixes, including for Office on x86 and documents stored/saved in OneDrive. You will probably need to resave the group for any OneDrive documents. Adds new tab creation for Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer if you set them to have a Groupy new tab button (it's tabs all the way down...) Adds option to make exclusion list an inclusion list for grouping (under Exclusions dialog) Opening new Office tabs via + s

You can use all of the computers normally with their locally attached keyboard and mice. The primary and secondary machines have to be on to use the primary to control things remotely. With a wired connection, you shouldn't see any lag worth mentioning. Wifi may have some, very dependent on your network.

Trend Micro is unhappy that Fences is loading into Explorer (in rough terms). That's simply how it works, it's not doing anything malicious. I will try and find a place to submit a false positive report for them.

If you go in the Groupy config interface and toggle it to off, does the problem stop? This is a weird one because the windows are only altered if they are part of a group.
