I have the GC CE and have just installed it on my new computer with new operating system do I have to get a sig file again to use it? If I get Dark Avatar expansion am I going to need another Sig file for it too? It takes more than a day turn around so I am curious.

I tried to purchase the DA expansion and it tried to sell me 2 copies then 3. I went out and came back now I am up to 5 copies it wants to sell me. is there something going on with the website?

Yes the AI very rarely researchs and deploys good engine tech my best ship is an early game medium sized sensor life support and engine ship that outruns anything the AI makes even in the late game. It can travel to the AI rear areas scout out everything and reteatin most cases without being destroyed because it will see them long before they get to range and again the AI never makes fast ships.

Can I use the same sig. file to load my game on my desktop as I used for my laptop or is it computer specific? Will I need to e-mail you again for my desktop? I have the first patch on my desktop and my laptop has the collectors and latest x revrsion patch after I got one of those omega drivers for it. Thanks

Mine appears to be the same err message, it crashes when you try to create a new galaxy / game right? Same video card too a mobility radeon in my laptop I am trying to get the new drivers to load but no luck so far advise how well the drivers worked for you. Thanks.

A carrier just needs a starbases ability to extend range and a function to allow you to stack them on the carrier warship. perhaps a special mod to the logistics rule for carriers.

Agreed My out of date MX/MX 400 geforce plays it fine, just set the antialaising to 0 in your settings.

MOO has been invocked many times in this conversation. While you do not want to make a clone one must remember there were many good things about MOO 1 and 2 and GC should take from that to enhanse the game. A tactical combat option would not be that big a drain because all you are doing is allowing changes in orders of attack and maybe work something like MOO 3 for the starship combat. ( I liked the MOO3 ship combat but the rest was messed up and the inability to upgrade......) As to an auto re

Just checking in to get everyones opinion. I have one system with a Nvidia Geforce 2 MX/MX-400 and another system with a Radeon 7500 mobile, will they be enough to run the game? I checked there does not appear to be a driver update for the MX-400

I like the idea of allowing an option for Tactical combat. people who do not want to use it would not and it would not require any change in AI strategy just allow the play more options.

I am still waiting just ordered it Friday and I am trying to get things together. I am an old MOO 2 fan and enjoyed Galactic Civ 1 especially with the stellar warfare mod. So you are saying the bonus pack is the patch? I have been here I am asking if that IS the patch. There are 3 things in the menu to download after I get in and none of they say they are the patch.

I have gone into the downloads menu and I found the bonus content but where is the patch? I cannot use stardock on my download computer so will there be a patch we can access?
