I have had the same thing happen. I had the trial version (1.0) until it expired. Then I downloaded Stardock Central, and then purchased a ThinkDesk subscription--which included the regular (non-pro) version 1.01. After installing, uninstalling, reinstalling, multiple reboots, etc. I have been able to control one machine with the other but not the other way around. I currently have the 2 monitors/extended desktop as the secondary, but initially I had it set up as the primary and didn't have have any trouble. Although I haven't got your specific configuration, the extended desktop works seamlessly.
